History
The school was established in May 1977 by the Catholic Mission under the instrumentality of Bishop (now Archbishop Emeritus) Most Rev. The school is situated in Obuasi Municipal Assembly at Akaporiso, Ashanti Region of Ghana.[2] The first batch of students was 28, and now have population of 1570.[3]
In May, 2023, the minister of education Honorable Yaw Osei Adutwum gave an assurance to complete 600-bed girls dormitory which has been abandoned for decade.[4] The Obuasi Municipal Assembly handed over a three-storey 18 classroom block which was funded through the Ghana Education Trust Fund. The block was named after the late Prof. J.E.A. Mills for initiating the project some four years ago.[5]
