The 2024–25 season will be the 116th season in the existence of Borussia Dortmund and the club's 49th consecutive season in the top flight of German football. In addition to the domestic league, the team will also compete in the DFB-Pokal, the UEFA Champions League and for the first time in the FIFA Club World Cup.

This season will be the first since 2011–12 without midfielder and former club captain Marco Reus, who will leave after the end of his contract.
