Draft:Cueva Pintada (California)
You have made an error in your comment on Draft:Cueva Pintada (California), that site is not the same as Painted Cave, Galdar which is a completely different site on another continent. Please read both the draft and the article you suggested it be merged to and you will find this is the case. Please strike that comment. I do however agree with you that the draft is not ready for article space and should be declined. Just so you know the editor who created the draft has a long history of errors (see their talk page), so your good-faith but incorrect comment is complicating matters. Article class for Funding of European political parties

Hi @Clearfrienda, thanks for the banner you added to the talk page of Funding of European political parties. However, you wrote that the article is class C, while @Zanahary has indicated a class B on my talk page. Was there a change (and if so, why?) or is this a mistake? Just trying to understand the discrepancy. Thanks! Julius Schwarz (talk) 07:02, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Julius Schwarz: I use a tool called Rater to add/remove WikiProjects and assess/rate. It will automatically rate an article (using AI) when I run it on a page. In this case, I was configuring the banner shell. Per WP:PIQA, most assessments are now done independent of WikiProjects. There are often discrepancies between reviews because, in the end, rating an article is completely subjective and doesn't mean anything. There is no official process — anyone can rate an article. You can read the B-class criteria here. Funding of European political parties is very long (which in itself is not an issue) so I won't do a full review of it. If you think the article meets the B-class criteria, you can change it yourself. You can also request an independent rating at WP:WPWP/ASSESS. Happy editing, C F A 💬 21:42, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the detailed reply @Clearfrienda. To be honest, I am not really hung up on the rating itself, I was just interested in the two differing assessments in such a short time. More useful would be some of the observations/recommendations that your tool made (if any). Personally, I do not want to be in a position to grade my own work, that's far too subjective; that's why I was happy when the first rating came in. Whatever the actual grade, the point now is to see what can be improved and work on that one bit at a time. Feel free to share anything of use. Julius Schwarz (talk) 06:59, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
