Career

Club Career

Borussia Mönchengladbach

He came up with Borussia Moenchengladbach as a midfielder in 2002.

Alemannia Aachen

He transferred to Alemannia Aachen in 2004 where he became a striker and was elevated to Captain for much of the first half of the season. He currently wears the number 19 shirt and has had a breakout season in the Bundesliga, which led to his international debut which came against Georgia in October 2006. Aachen were promoted to the Bundesliga in the 2006-07 season as champions of the 2.Bundesliga, but were relegated just after one season. Schlaudraff didn't have to play at 2.Bundesliga because he was signed by Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich

During the winter break, Jan secured a move that will move him from Alemania Aachen to Bayern Munich, starting July 1, 2007 for a transfer fee of 1.2 m €. His debut for the club will be a belated one as he requires surgery for a slipped disc, meaning he may not figure until late July.

International career

He made his debut when he was called up for 2 games in October 2006. One was a friendly against Georgia and a Euro 2008 qualifier against Slovakia .[1]
