Great Chelsea Flickr images

As one of the main people that Chelsea to FA status, I thought you might be interested to know that while casually searching, I found a really great Flickr user, with a load of Chelsea related images. All of which are free use. On a quick run through I got an image for the Carling Cup Final, Essien, Steve Clarke, Hilario and a face on image of Frank Lampard. You might be able to find some other useful ones as well. here Gran2 16:55, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, as said, the are all Creative Commons 2.0, which is free to use on here. And the image taker will have chosen that license, so he shouldn't have a problem with it. Gran2 20:11, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Do you know...

... if Clarence Seedorf still holds the record for winning the champions league with three different clubs, I know he was as of 2004.

RE: Chelsea F.C. by season

I created the Chelsea F.C. by season article as it links to Chelsea season reviews. The Chelsea F.C. seasons page links to season reviews in English football, and not specifically focusing on Chelsea, when you click on a year.

So can I change the link to a season review, if available, for a particular year on the Chelsea F.C. seasons page?

By the way, do you know any sites that have appeareances/stats of individual players in the past. Would appreciate it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Azlan2k7 (talkcontribs) 21:39, 19 July 2007.

Pat Nevin

Pat Nevin does NOT have an "academic degree in art". He has an arts degree. Why interfere in something you know nothing about? 82.35.59.204 18:51, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

  1. Pat Nevin does indeed not have a degree in art, a mistake on my part which I now deeply regret.
  2. I suggest you read what vandalism is not before making allegations
  3. I suggest you check the entire edit before reverting, since you also removed the wikilink and defaultsort I added.
  4. Unsourced and pov comments like "one of Scotland's worst universities" are not appropriate for Wikipedia.
Thank you.
SteveO 20:59, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Maybe I should put alink to one of the many university league tables which backs that "pov" up. Perhaps next time you could put a proper summary of your edits in the log 82.35.59.204 03:45, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
It would be far more helpful to add links to those many university league tables to the actual Glasgow Caledonian article, rather than one of its ex-students. Then an interested reader can decide for themselves whether it is "one of Scotland's worst universities". SteveO 18:03, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Copyrighted fixtures

Which fixture is copyrighted? Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Community Shield, FA Cup or all of them?--ClaudioMB 00:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

The Barclays Premier League could be copyrighted because belongs to Barclays. The others I doubt. So, until there is a source telling any other is copyrighted, it could be used. One question, do you have a source for Barclays Premier League be copyrighted? Please, I'd like to see it. By the way, next time, before remove everything, please remove just what is copyright violation or ask for who included it to remove it. Thanks.--ClaudioMB 00:47, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
It's clear that the fixture is copyrighted. The table does not seem to be copyrighted. Also the results appear not to be copyrighted. So, it's possible to publish the matches after they are played. Do you know anything about that?--ClaudioMB 03:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Snooker request

As a member of WikiProject Snooker, it is requested that you watchlist at least the following pages:

  • Wikipedia:WikiProject Snooker - if the project members do not pay attention to changes at the project page, especially its talk page, effective collaboration will be nearly impossible and the project would eventually fail.
  • Wikipedia:WikiProject Snooker/Wanted snooker bios - this is an important part of the project's to-do list.
  • Snooker - our main article, frequently subject to vandalism and nonsense edits that (historically) have sometimes taken hours or even an entire day to be fixed
  • Snooker season 2006/2007 - another important article
  • Snooker world rankings 2006/2007 - another important article
  • One or more player articles of your choice that you'd like to "adopt" as a guardian against vandalism, PoV-pushing, etc.

Keeping in touch with the rest of the team via the project pages, and keeping an occasional eye on core articles will go a long way to strengthening the project and protecting the articles. Thank you for your time and attention. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 03:04, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Henry VII of England

Australian Open (tennis)

Hello. You've asked why Borg didn't enter the Australian Open after 1974. I've made some modifications in the Australian Open article (tennis) to explain that this tournament became really important and deserved the "Grand Slam tournament" only in 1969, 1971 and from 1983 (see paragraph "History"). If you want other explications about the greatest tennis events, from a sporting view, since 1950 you can read my paragraph "Slam tournaments at the beginning of the open era", the 29th in Talk:World number one male tennis player rankings with some disagreements by others as jeffreyneave, german friend and SgtJohn.
