Template:Infobox musical artist 2 Joseph Mark Trohman (born September 1, 1984) is the lead guitarist of the Chicago-based band Fall Out Boy.

Early Life

Joesph Mark Trohman was born into a Jewish-American family in Hollywood, Florida. He played the viola, and then the trombone as a student, before picking up the guitar. Trohman attended school at New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL.

Career

In 2001, Trohman formed the band Fall Out Boy along with close friend Pete Wentz. He met Patrick Stump in a Borders Bookstore,[1] and after bonding over a mutual interest in the band Neurosis. He convinced Stump to audition for the band.[2].

Equipment

Trohman has used many guitars during his career. In the Take This To Your Grave days, he was seen using the Gibson Les Paul guitars. During From Under The Cork Tree, Joe mainly used Fender Telecasters. Currently, Joe Trohman is endorsed by Washburn Guitars, with whom he has his own custom shop.models.[3] He used the guitars often on the "Black Clouds and Underdogs" Tour. As seen during the American Grammys, Joe used guitars based on the Infinity On High graphics. His main guitar now is his own washburn signature model. His backups are sometimes stock Pilsens and stock Idol 66PROs.
