:I cannot find them after a quick search, but I'm sure I read on Wikipedia that that was the standard. I'm obviously wrong, or dreamt of such a style guidelines. Or, maybe I was thinking because there is nothing that explicity says "Use colons", I may have been thinking "Well, a hyphen looks better so it MUST be a guideline". Hm.. The examples above seem to suggest that the colon is okay. - [[User:Mikay|ǀ Mikay ǀ]] 12:24, 19 January 2008 (UTC) |

Survey
- Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with
*'''Support'''
or*'''Oppose'''
, then sign your comment with~~~~
. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
- Oppose. I'm not sure which naming conventions are being cited but normal English grammar rules call for a subtitle to be offset by a colon. It's done for other albums at Wikipedia that don't have punctuation on the cover such as ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits, Fields of Gold: The Best of Sting 1984-1994, and In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003. — AjaxSmack 03:22, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose. Most Googles title comes up with colon, not dash.[1] Cross porpoises (talk) 22:27, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Discussion
- Any additional comments:
From WP:RM:
Album cover doesn't contain a colon or a hyphen, so I think the proper naming conventions would be to use a hyphen. — - ǀ Mikay ǀ 10:49, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
