Untitled

Mail on Sunday is the debut album by the American hip hop artist Flo Rida. The album was released March 18 2008 via Atlantic and Poe Boy Records. Fueled by his chart-topping single "Low," Flo Rida's debut album Mail on Sunday (Poe Boy/Atlantic) bows at No. 4 with 86,000. The rapper has the biggest selling digital download of all time, as "Low" has sold 3.3 million downloads since its digital November release.[1][2]

Music

Concept

Flo Rida explained the versatility of the album with the following, "I cover everything from hardships to struggle to the good times at the club. I got a song called 'Freaky,' I got party music, I got something for the car. I got all different types of music."[3]

Flo Rida also elaborated on the title of the album stating, "Well, this record is like my special delivery for the fans. It’s not something you can get during the 6 regular mail delivery days. You need that extra day for your prized possessions. That’s Mail on Sunday."[4]

Production and guests

T-Pain, who laced the first single, is only one of the many featured guests throughout the album.[2][3] Timbaland, who produced the second single "Elevator", is also featured on the track.[2][3] Rick Ross and Trey Songz are all scheduled to make appearances as well.[2][3][5] Lil Wayne has also been added to the list[5] with assistance on the "American Superstar" track while Sean Kingston is set to appear on the J.R. Rotem-produced "Roll".[2] Various other guests include Birdman, Brisco and Yung Joc.[2][3]

As for production, J.R. Rotem, DJ Montay and Timbaland all provided tracks for Mail on Sunday, among others.[2][3]

There is currently an unreleased track featuring T-Pain named I Bet circulating on the internet. It is still unknown if it will be a bonus for the album or included in a re-release.

Sales

The album debuted at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 85,891 copies in its first week.[6]
