The base of Met 2, under construction, can be seen rising just to the left of a completed Met 1 tower.

Metropolitan Miami is a complex of five skyscrapers in the central business district of downtown Miami, Florida. It is currently under construction.

Met 3, when completed, will be the 2nd-tallest building in Miami at 828 ft (252 m), behind the 903-foot (275 m) Brickell Financial Centre Phase II, which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2009. Met 3 will contain 76 floors, which will make it the tallest building in the United States south of New York City in terms of floor count. In total height, it will also be the tallest residential building south of New York, consisting of residential condominium units, as it will pass the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, which holds that distinction currently. Met 3 is expected to be complete in 2009. The foundation of Met 3 is currently being constructed and the tower is expected to begin going vertical by July of 2008.

Met 2 will actually be two buildings, built adjacent to each other. Met 2 Office Tower will be a 46-floor, 647-foot commercial office building, and Met 2 Marriott Marquis will be a 31-story, 367-foot building containing a Marriott Marquis Hotel. Met 2 is expected to open in the spring of 2009.

Met 1 was the first building to be completed in the complex. Structurally completed in late 2007, the building rises 40 stories and 440 feet. It is a residential building, designed to supplement the much larger Met 3 tower, of which it is similar architecturally.

Met Square will be a 4-story building in the center of the complex designed to be similar to New York's Times Square. Met Square will contain retail shops, restaurants, and a Whole Foods Market.

The Metropolitan Miami project has gained attention due to NBA star Shaquille O'Neal's involvement in the project. He formed the O'Neal Group, a building-development company, recently. The Metropolitan Miami project is the group's first.
