Aaron Harber (born June 07, 1953) is an American long-form political TV talk show host featured on KBDI-TV Channel 12 (Colorado Public Television), COMCAST Entertainment Television, and KPXC-TV (ION Media Networks). Aaron often writes columns for The Colorado Statesman and The Denver Daily News,[1] and serves as an on-air, political analyst for the Denver CBS affiliate, CBS4 (KCNC-TV).[2]

The Aaron Harber Show

Aaron is the host and executive producer of The Aaron Harber Show a nonpartisan, political TV Talk Show.[3] He is best known for his exclusive, long-form interviews with such guests as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor[4], FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, III, President Bill Clinton, former U.S Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, CBS Anchor Bob Schieffer, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, SHELL Oil President John Hofmeister and General David Petraeus (the latter interviews conducted in Iraq and at the Pentagon) [5][6]

General Petraeus

On January 31, 2008, Aaron traveled to Iraq to conduct an interview of General David Petraeus in Baghdad at the General's personal invitation.[7] There were three interviews in the series titled "The Real Iraq". The first interview was conducted at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. on September 14, 2007. This first interview by Harber of General Petraeus occurred after the General testified before Congress. The interview of General Petraeus was the last one he granted at the Pentagon before returning to Iraq.[8]

The Senate in Balance

In January 2008, Aaron Harber executive produced a new series, The Senate in Balance.[11] The series is designed as a public platform for Mark Udall (D) and Bob Schaffer (R), the two major party candidates in the highly-contestant United States Senate race in Colorado.

The series focuses on the contest between former Colorado Congressman Bob Schaffer and incumbent Mark Udall to replace retiring Sen. Wayne Allard (R-Colorado). The race is on the national radar screen and is recognized as one of the most competitive Senate seats in the country. No two federal candidates have participated in such an extensive series in the history of the nation.

In addition to the two candidates, Colorado’s two current Colorado U.S. Senators, Wayne Allard (R) and Ken Salazar (D) have agreed to participate in this history-making series as have former Colorado U.S. Senators Bill Armstrong (R), Hank Brown (R), Gary Hart (D), and Timothy Wirth (D). [12]

2008 Denver Democratic National Convention series

In addition to his other two shows Aaron Harber is also producing a show documenting the 2008 Democratic National Convention. This convention is historic in nature because it will be the 100th anniversary of Denver's first and only Democratic National Convention since the 1908 Democratic National Convention. The convention is to be held at Denver's Pepsi Center and will the anniversary of then William Jennings Bryan of Nebraska was nominated as the 1908 Democratic Presidential candidate, but went on to lose the election against Republican William Howard Taft.

Harber has interviewed pertinent guests such as Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb.[13]

Education

Aaron Harber was graduated from Princeton University with an AB, and received a special certificate from The Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs, where he concentrated in Economics. Aaron Harber received a Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he concentrated in Ethics.

Bolder Boulder

Aaron Harber is an avid runner. He has competed in the Bolder Boulder every year since 2002. The Bolder Boulder is an annual 10Km race held in Boulder, Colorado.[14]
