Nonsense of Image talk:Brazilian grasshopper.jpg

RE. Speedy delete tag

Hi,

Upon investigation; it was an error on my part; whilst tryng new software for monitoring newly created pages, this page appeared; the software should not have brought up talk pages; it therefore appeared to me as an article containing the phrase "What a handsome devil! jengod (talk) 05:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)" (ie a new article with this, and nothing more)

As this appeared (incorrectly) to be a newly created article containing just this, I selected the option to speedily delete it under the 'nonsense' category.

This problem will not happen again, and I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Given the nature of wikipedia, in which several new pages are posted every minute, and many of them are pure vandalism, I hope you will understand that some degree of automation in monitoring is necessary.

Unfortunately, your comment was the victim of a 'computer error' during this process.

Once again, sincere apologies; I fully agree, he is a very handsome devil.

I noticed that you were the original creator of the 'Free state' article, as a fork from the 'Slave state' page back in 2004. When you upload images from flickr (like Image:2878688366 07f279c1be o.jpg and Image:NPH 2866542475 13a903bee8 o.jpg), please take care about the licence. There is not one Creative Commons Licence, but several. In particular, the CC 3.0 licenses cannot be used on Flick, only the 2.0 licences.
