Teal, also called teal blue, is a medium to dark blueish green color of low saturation; a dark cyan. The color gets its name from the fact that it surrounds the eyes of the common teal, a member of the duck family. The complementary color of teal is coral pink.

Teal in human culture
- In Windows 95 teal is the default background color.
- In an online vote, Teal was voted the most popular shade of blue just ahead of cornflower blue.
- In the bandana code of the gay leather subculture, wearing a teal bandana means that one's sexual fetish is cock and ball torture. [3] [4]
- The San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League use teal as their main color. Their American Hockey League farm team Worcester Sharks also play in teal.
- The Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League use teal as their primary color. The Miami Dolphins use a teal-like color called "aqua green".
- The New Orleans Hornets of the National Basketball Association use teal as their primary color.
- The Port Adelaide Power's main color is teal. It is the only team in the Australian Football League to use teal.
- Major League Baseball's Seattle Mariners use teal as a secondary color, calling it "northwest green." The Florida Marlins are nicknamed "The Boys in Teal."
- The Nintendo Game Boy is a small handheld video game system which is available in a pale tint of teal.
- Teal is a choice of team color in many video games.
