Well, you have better been prepared for a good fight. I will not abandon my informational article. Who are you and your deletionists anyway? [[User:Lperez2029|Lperez2029]] ([[User talk:Lperez2029#top|talk]]) 00:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Happy Halloween

Welcome!

Hello, Lperez2029, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Regarding your comment (made 18:22, 30 October 2006) about article(s) you started but wished to abandon completely, there is a tag notice available {{db-author}} (see CSD G7) - one of the speedy deletion criteria. --Ricksy 03:01, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the Warm Welcome! Hello, and Happy (belated) Halloween to you too!

First, thanks for contributing to my article Ricksy -- certainly a breath of fresh air. Second, I appreciate you providing the information on how to delete my own articles (so I don't get cited for vandalism again!). BTW, what a term to use for well intended contributing newcomers. Maybe WP should come up with some better terminology for depicting certain events (or when unsure) and use the word Vandalism only when absolutely warranted. Anyway, thanks for the information, and now I know how to wipe out some stuff <Grin> --Lperez2029 19:35, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Your requests for deletion

Your request for deletion is actually a request to delete this whole page. Not only are Talk pages almost never deleted, but this doesn't appear to be what you intend. You can remove a section of your Talk page simply by editing the page and deleting the text. Note that if the matter is current, other users may object to this as a form of "hiding" warnings. In this case though, the matter appears to be a few months past and this shouldn't be an issue. — Saxifrage 05:18, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. --Lperez2029 13:09, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:300px-Join Wikiproject USA.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:300px-Join Wikiproject USA.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:04, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Ahh, these messages from robots, when you're trying to get to grips! Scaled to 300 pix, as recommended - good for you.
I've linked up the original I reckon you used. Template linked in this note, like it? --Ricksy 05:44, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good Job and thank you very much!

Deleted thread

Hi. You deleted a thread on the talk page Talk:Car accident - see this diff of your edit. I'm assuming it was an accident, but please try not to let this happen again. Thanks. — Timwi 20:51, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but I did not delete anything - under the "Deer-related accidents" section someone suggested the following: "Here is an article from CNN that shows statistics for deer-related accidents in the U.S., in case anyone thinks it should be included in the article somewhere". [1] --Nehrams2020 00:34, 15 November 2006 (UTC) - - I simply added: Please include it - Thank You! --Lperez2029 15:34, 18 December 2006 (UTC) Please clarify the section or part that you believe was deleted. Thanks --Lperez2029 21:16, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I went back and looked at the history and sure enough there's a section missing. I have no idea why. Wikibug? --Lperez2029 22:36, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Telematics

Thank you for your kind words on Telematics:talk.

Do you know a fellow named Salvador Minguijon Perez? He is a Spanish inventor who has the earliest patent I am aware of on using telematics in auto insurance. Norwich Union has purchased his UK patent and obtained a license to the other national patents he has in Europe.

He is quite a champion for telematics. He compiles information on the subject at http://terra.es:80/personal/smp00000/home_archivos/Pay_as_you_drive_directory.htm.

--Nowa 12:34, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're Welcome! While I do not personally know Salvador Minguijon Perez, I am in line with his train of thought in the area of telematics - ironically also a Spanish/American inventor of part Spaniard descent. I did a quick search on USPTO website and found 1127 issued and 800 published patents to Perez's – maybe I’ll have to run a traceability check <Grin>.

The idea of ‘pay as you drive’ insurance telematics is good because it raises safety awareness of drivers making them more responsible for their actions while operating a motor vehicle. Another major benefit I see is that it rewards the ‘responsible’ driver – overall making our roads safer – something directly aligned with ‘Vision Zero’. Telematic insurance would benefit someone like me because (in a highly populated state like New Jersey) I wouldn’t have to pay higher premiums which are statistically based on the (pool) overall inadequacy and the fallacies of others.

An interesting thought that occurred to me last evening was coupling my US 6,249,219 [2] patent with telematic insurance. The system would allow for precision recording of abrupt accelerations and decelerations (programmable thresholds) and would report such behavior via telematics, thereby adjusting the premium. Couple the Emergency Warning System for Vehicles US Patent 6,714,127 [3] and now you have recordations of a variety of warnings (ground based and vehicle information) sent and received (such as severe braking warnings sent and received by the system) by the vehicle.

Together with our partner SIE Solutions, we specialize in seamless Telematics systems custom design solutions – so we can take a Concept or Problem and develop a Solution. Should you or your client need consultation in this area, let me know and I'll see how we can best assist. Best --Lperez2029 15:27, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Happy New Year

Your signature

May I ask why your username is not wikilinked to your userpage in your signature? Doing so, while not mandatory, is considered good style; it aids navigation to (say) your talkpage. Veinor (talk to me) 22:56, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the observation! If you can show me how to wikilink my username, then I'm sure me, you, and everyone would appreciate the 'good sytle' :) Thanks --Lperez2029 03:12, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
