Stem Cell Research [1]

Most people know Robert Fulton as the inventor of the steamboat. This, however, is untrue. The real inventor is John Fitch. He worked on designs for ten years, and actually built a full size working model, which he used for several years to get people across the water from New Jersey to New York. Unfortunately, he never patented his idea, and he died a number of years later. After he passed on, Robert Fulton came along and heard about his designs. He made a few modifications, and patented the water vehicle. Now he gets all the credit, while Fitch stays in the dark.
