unsubstantiated / unreferenced claims

Hi, I have tagged a few claims for substantiation. There are also some comments in there asking for more info. Feel free to drop me a line if I've ruffled your feathers.--Garrie 00:35, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Information - statistics

The information on Westfield Parramatta, and in fact other shopping centres, derived from the SHM article linked on the page is probably inaccurate according to other sources. The SMH article doesn't state its sources, but I guess the figures may come from the Shopping Centre Council of Australia, as it is mentioned in the body of the article, or are really outdated (as I remember the 126,000m2 figure given for Parramatta from a few years back).

According to the corporate profile on the Westfield site however, the figures are as follow: Lettable Area: 128,069m2, Shops: 432

And according to the 2006 Annual Report (which probably includes post redevelopment information) the figures are: Lettable Area: 139,260m2, Shops: 503

All shopping centre figures from the annual report include the office suites, which may account for the discepancy, but even that doesn't account for all the inaccuracies.

Also, having said that, the new figure of 139,260m2 would rank Westfield Parramatta as the 3rd largest (not counting the combined Sydney CBD centres).

Not sure what to make of this in relation to the article, or other Westfield articles.--AussieInfo 15:02, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as stub, and the rating on other projects was brought up to Stub class. BetacommandBot 05:18, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What does this mean ??

"With a recent renovation complete it has allowed more stores and more room for consumers to shop as well as making it easier to access the station via public transport."

How do you access the (railway) station via public transport from Westfield Parramatta. I think you meant to say, the renovation makes it easier to access the station from the mall on foot.Eregli bob 03:24, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Parramata.gif

Image:Parramata.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image Image:The Westfield Group logo.svg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
