i thought for the longest time that the matrix version had something to do with the movie; this page lists both versions, but doesn't bother to specify what the differences are, or which one charted. does anyone happen to know definitively either way? 04:26, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Winnermario, can we leave the date as just 2002? Complicated was released at different times in 2002 in Canada, Australia, the UK, and the US, so if we put down April 2002, it could be a little misleading. Also I removed Hot Digital Songs. Where did you get the info that it hit #1 or even charted? The chart didn.t exist until 2005. OmegaWikipedia 13:10, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you're right, so we will just leave it as 2002. And the chart position for the Hot Digital Songs was from an inaccurate webpage, so thanks for removing that. I was just wondering if you could add the Hot 100 Singles Sales chart as well? Winnermario 23:33, September 11, 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm trying to find it. Do you know if Complicated was released as a cd single in the USA btw? And seeing as Avril is Canadian, do you think we should change the singlebox a bit (the format section) and the lead paragraph to show that? I mean articles by Americian artists reflect Americian formats, so I'm guessing this should reflect Canada more OmegaWikipedia 23:46, 11 September 2005 (UTC) ?[reply]
Also, I noticed you added a platinum certification. Since hardly any singles really get released in the USA now, and it came out before digital dowloads, I'm guessing you meant Candada. Is the stuff I found about the CRIA right? OmegaWikipedia 00:12, 12 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

the harmonic progression

I know someone really went to the trouble of analysing the different harmonics in the song, but it doesn't really add anything generally informative to the article...it just seems somewhat obscure and random to have it there, so I'm removing it and pasting it here for future reference if anyone was interested in the harmonic progression of the song. Dagari 13:10, 3 May 2007 (UTC) Here's the info:[reply]

The acoustic guitar is tuned down a whole step, and the song is in F major. The introduction is a strummed vi-IV-I-V which returns as the chorus with different rhythmic accents. The verse of the song uses a I-vi-IV-V sequence, while the prechorus uses a IV-vi movement: IV-vi-IV-V. Finally the chorus arrives with vi-IV-I-V. Dagari 13:12, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Complicated2.jpg

Image:Complicated2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:54, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
