On 18th July 2009 Madurai, witnessed "Naam Tamilar" rally with around 5000 men and women participated in well organized manner, started from Jansi Rani Park at about 4.45 PM and reached the stage, where around 40 000 people were gathered. |

Rev.Fr.Jegath Casper Raj, Mr. Sahul Hameed, Mr.AK Ramasamy, Mr. Sivakumar, Mr.Michael, Er. Vijayakumar, Dr. Sharmila, were the others who occupied the stage along with Mr. Seeman. |

One of the resolutions adopted at the meeting condemned the Sri Lankan Government for not allowing the Tamils, displaced in the just concluded war with Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, to return to their villages. It urged the United Nations to intervene in the matter. |

Another resolution insisted on dissolving the existing camp management committee, comprising 18 Sri Lankans, and forming an independent group to look after the administration. The gathering also insisted on prosecuting the officials concerned for war crimes and killing of many Indian fishermen. Organizers of the public meeting also urged India to withdraw their offer of Rs.500 crore for revival of agriculture in northern Lanka. They demanded that M.S. Swaminathan should not help the island nation in the agriculture revival project.The gathering welcomed the State Government’s announcement that the Sri Lankan refugees living in camps across the State would not be sent back without their consent. Further, it wanted the Indian Government to lift the ban imposed on LTTE in the wake of the recent developments. |

The highlight of this event was, the volunteers were dressed as LTTE Commandos, with the picture of National Leader Prabhakaran in their T - Shirt. |

Seeman was born in a village near paramakudi in south tamilnadu. He is an atheist and was inspired by ideologies of Thanthai Periyar and Che Guevara. Seaman is a Tamil film director in Tamil Nadu, India.
Seeman is spear heading the struggle in Tamil Nadu for an independent ethnic homeland for Tamils in Sri Lanka. Stands as an example for Tamil youth in terms of affinity towards tamil and tamils.
