Gomoh is located at 23°52′N 86°10′E / 23.87°N 86.17°E[1]. It has an average elevation of 245 metres (803 feet). Gomoh is a dust free with pleasant weather conditions. Patients who are suffering from long illness will feel better here. It is full of greenery and livelihood.

As of 2001[update] India census[2], Gomoh had a population of 28,576. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Gomoh has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78%, and female literacy is 60%. In Gomoh, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
