Untitled

Full Circle is the upcoming album by American post-grunge band Creed.[4] It will be Creed's first release since their 2004 compilation album Greatest Hits, their first studio album since 2001's Weathered, and their first studio album to feature original bassist Brian Marshall in almost exactly a decade. The record was produced by Howard Benson. The album was completed on July 31 as announced by Scott Stapp. Four days later, the album cover was revealed through the band's official e-news.

The new album is to consist of twelve tracks, with the first single being released digitally on August 25, 2009 and the second being released on October 6, 2009. Stapp has said that most of the album will also be heavier than the past three Creed records. There are also going to be more guitar solos, as Mark Tremonti stated on his Twitter page that he is "very proud of the solos on this record". An album release date of October 27, 2009 was finally confirmed on the official Creed website.

Reunion tour

The 2009 Full Circle reunion tour for Creed began on August 6 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and will conclude on October 20, 2009 in Hidalgo, Texas. Originally, Flyleaf and Fuel were to be the opening bands, but the New Zealand band Like a Storm and Hoobastank opened for Creed the first leg of the concert, while Lo-Pro and Staind opened for the second leg. Like a Storm did, however, open the shows near the end of the tour.

Five songs from the album have been performed live so far: [citation needed]

  1. Overcome
  2. A Thousand Faces
  3. Bread of Shame
  4. Full Circle
  5. Rain

"Overcome" and "A Thousand Faces" have become part of the band's setlist for the tour and have been played at almost every show. The response to "A Thousand Faces" has been tremendously positive by fans and it is assumed that it will be released as a single in the coming months.[citation needed]

Album title

The title of the album involves the band members coming "full circle" and deciding that a reunion was the best thing to do. There is also the title track, "Full Circle", which is also about the reunion.[5]
