I came to this page in response to a request for page protection because this article has recently been updated frequently, as if it were a blog or source for current news.

Wikipedia is not a blog, and using an article to announce pep rallies, current news, and rivalries is not allowed. An example of an appropriate article about a high school is Paxon School for Advanced Studies, which contains information on the school's history, notable alumni, and other facts suitable for inclusion in an encyclopedia like Wikipedia.

Editors who continually violate Wikipedia policies and guidelines can be blocked from editing. Please refrain from using the article as a web site for the school. Thanks. KrakatoaKatie 04:38, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hundreds of people use this page as a resource

They use this page for news just like the pages on much less notable things like, Micheal Jackson, Paris Hilton, 2009, 2009 Atlantic hurricane season and Wikinews. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.139.99.87 (talk)

That's why it's so important that the page be kept free of vandalism and restricted to coherently-written, verified, encyclopediac content. Wikipedia is not for transient news, in-jokes, or blog-type content, so readers may as well learn to look elsewhere for that type of content. DMacks (talk) 18:29, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was adding information that was worthy to be on the encyclopedia.--75.139.99.87 (talk) 18:43, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Who are the notable alumni for this school? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 22:06, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lolz not really any notable alumni we are all a bunch of surf rats. oh that and the school has only been around for 5 years —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.192.10.50 (talk) 19:41, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an encyclopedia. How many people need to look up this school each year? I expect the number is small. This is good, because there is essentially no content here.- Sinneed 22:13, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is a lot more views this month though.--71.80.55.230 (talk) 00:00, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Because it was nominated for deleted, plain and simple. A lot of people will check a article that is nominated so they can decide if they want to give their opinion. The article should be deleted because the school is not notable, plain and simple. Some people are misguided and think that high schools are automatically notable, those people are 100% WRONG. There is no guideline or policy that says schools are notable, they have to pass notability guidelines just like any other article. The usual recommendation is to merge the school articles with the city's article (or the school district's article if it is notable enough to have one). That is what should happen here as this school is NOT notable and the article is terrible. TJ Spyke 04:18, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My weird rollback.

Somehow, I did NOT see the current version. I restored needlessly... I *THINK* I had 2 windows open... either way, I then fixed that WRONG again. My apologies. I *think* I have it back into the condition it was in before I broke it.- Sinneed 03:14, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD - Redirect

I decided to wp:Be Bold and redirected the article. I will certainly follow any wp:consensus that develops.- Sinneed 04:49, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...and it was immediately removed anonymously, and a damaged version without the mergeto and refimprove flags restored. Restored the removed content and the article flags.- Sinneed 16:20, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
