Bank Robber?: new section
Line 37: Line 37:

Phil Harris was selling coffee under the brand name "Deadliest Brew" from June 2008 or so until recently? Blends included "Deck Hand," "The Greenhorn," and "In the Trough." I cannot find the website, but I know our local grocery store carried the coffee for a while. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Memmyjr (talk • contribs) 04:35, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Police: Bank rob suspect was on 'Deadliest Catch'

Dec 31, 9:03 PM (ET)

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Police say a man who appeared in the Discovery Channel show "Deadliest Catch" is wanted for three bank robberies in Oregon and has been arrested in Illinois.
Police in East Peoria, Ill., say they arrested 23-year-old Joshua Tel Warner early Thursday on the Oregon bank robbery warrant after a vehicle he was riding in was pulled over for a routine traffic stop. He was being held on $30,000 bail in the Tazewell County Jail.

Police in Eugene, Ore., say he is the same Josh Warner who appeared as a greenhorn deckhand on the king crab fishing boat Wizard in the "Deadliest Catch" earlier this year. The television reality show depicts the crab fishing industry in the treacherous Bering Sea near Alaska.

The warrant charges Warner with one bank robbery in 2007 and two in 2009.

It's up to whomever who wants to add this into the article or not. Coffee5binky (talk) 02:49, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

There will be a fifth season. You can follow the show's blog at http://blogs.discovery.com/deadliest_catch/. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:49, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why no anti-slip?

I don't usually watch this, but I find it remarkable to see some bozo captain laughing while his guy is sliding all over deck between a winch in operation and the edge of the boat. Can't they put down some kind of anti-slip strips on the deck like people put in bathtubs? Wnt (talk) 17:26, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rationale for material I have added

The material that was removed is citeable from the TV series itself. I am endeavoring to waste time to find the episodes in question. 68.146.81.123 (talk) 12:27, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here are my specific issues with some of your edits:
 • Suggesting that Phil Harris wouldn't have been allowed to fall asleep if a cameraman was in the wheelhouse is speculation, IMO.
 • The additional paragraph on interactions between the camera crew and the fishing crew seemed to be commentary, again IMO. That whole section could probably be tightened up.
 • I question in the current season whether Phil Harris can really be considered captain for a boat that never leaves the dock.
Again, this was my impression of the edits and why I reverted them believing them to be commentary and speculation. This is a community effort and I have no desires to start an edit war over it. If the consensus is that I was in correct in my reverts, so be it. --TreyGeek (talk) 14:20, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The automated camera stuff and film crew leading to conflicts are indeed stated like speculations. But the rest looks fine.Kxx (talk) 05:38, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
