The School of Criticism and Theory at Cornell University offers professors and advanced graduate students of literature and related social sciences a chance to work with preeminent figures in critical thought. Participants work with distinguished scholars and theorists in one of four sex-week seminars, in addition to several mini-seminars and lectures. The school was founded in 1976 at the University of California, Irvine and has previously been housed at Northwestern University and Dartmouth College.
