Your request for rollback

Hi Stickee. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 04:08, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cheeseburger

Don't know about you, but its 8:00 in the UK and its nice to have at least one other rollbacker on Huggle. Here, have a cheeseburger:

Abused policing power

I believe you abused your roll back power as I made an honest link to a website I am not involved with for informational purposes only on the 'personal wedding website' page... if I were a more sophisticated user I would figure out how to share this information with others but am satisfied to have notified you of your abusive action. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.9.11.135 (talk) 09:03, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The disputed diff can be viewed here. Regardless of whether it was spam or not, that comment does not adhere to the Neutral Point of View policy. The example has been restored, but not the comment stating that it is an "excellent example". Feel free to popst another message if you have any more concerns. Re: My Talk

I read the article and made changes accordingly. The name Durkee stands for more than what the original page entailed. I will add a sepperate page for William Durkee (Durgy) as well. I appreciate your comments and help in learning the process. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SteveDurkee (talkcontribs) 08:27, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem Stickee (talk) 08:32, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I will have to add pages for all of those people then. I really don't think its okay to have the explanation of the term be for a single source because that is not what it means. I also don't understand if I add a surname page why you wouldn't have that as a primary term on the disambgu page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by SteveDurkee (talkcontribs) 08:35, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ignore my comment of making a page just for William Durkee (Durgy). It may just be best to create a family history page called Durkee (surname) as BikerBiker suggested, and then place a bullet point to that page on the Durkee disambiguation page. Oh, and remember to sign your comments with four tildes (~) at the end. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 08:41, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

rbaal

Hello Stickee. Sorry I got a bit hot under the collar but I find it hard to play fair with somebody who hides. I suspect that user has a reason to hide their identity.

The issue I have is that the page was doing a very poor job at representing the situation howeevr it is very hard to come up with cites for my comments. At leas one was on the radio and the event occured 3+ years ago. Trying to cite that is an issue. Yet critics have the ability to cite places like the NZHerald which have been proven time and time to make thsi sort of stuff up. Its very one sides and in the case of that article was very one sided.

Oh well off to try and wade through 6000 google hits

--Rbaal (talk) 02:17, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need to get angry if someone is not logged in. If a person is showing their IP on wikipedia, it gives them less pricacy because you can find their ISP and location.
If you believe that the Wikipedia article is biased, you are more than welcome to clean it up. But make sure to state sources when making any factual claims. If you need any more help, be sure to contact me. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 02:25, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Antisemitism in the Arab World

The following violates the neutral point of view policy in the article "Antisemitism in the Arab World", under the heading for Lebanon:

"In the discourse of Lebanese street politics, "Jew" is a common insult, often used to tar those suspected of collaborating with America and Israel.[47]"

The reference is an opinion from a Time magazine blurb on the Jews in Lebanon. Most of the blurb discusses how a MUSLIM Lebanese man is helping to restore Jewish heritage in Lebanon. The author of the Time blurb is stating an unverified anecdote, (perhaps, based on his experience?), that in no way is representative of how Lebanese view Jewish people. In fact, I know many Lebanese people that would never use the word Jew as an insult. If this statement is to remain, then I will add a statement saying that, "Most Lebanese would never use the word Jew as an insult." It's my word against the author's. The Time piece is an absolute paradox. The author is saying how a Muslim man is helping restore Jewish symbols in Lebanon, while painting all Lebanese as racists against Jews. This is absolute slander against a people and I will not let it stand. Therefore, this statement should be deleted.

Corrector555 (talk) 14:09, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Corrector5555. An extract from your post reads
" This article would be better called 'Discrimination of Jews in the Arab World.' Antisemitism in the Arab world, a term coined by people that don't really understand racism".
This particular statement was posted in the first sentence of the page and most definitely does not adhere to the neutral point of view policy, and has accordingly been removed.
I do agree with your removal of the comment about Jews in the Lebanon section. However, placing a paragraph in a comment tag in the mainspace page about your opinion on it [1] is not appropriate. Feel free to delete the Jew comment again. If you have any further questions or comments, feel free to contact me. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 14:21, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I have deleted it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Corrector555 (talkcontribs) 14:29, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

deleting wantonly

so where is this information relevant in the number of the beast article ? what part of newsweek's coverage of the topic is not relevant to the topic. you tell me where i put it in the article. You can't say this is not relevant to the topic that's PoV from you. Correct my addition but you can't say it's not about the number of the beast, Newsweek says that's the topic. You're not in accord with newsweek. How does it feel to be off-topic with the mainstream ? Your deletions are PoV. It's none of your business giving your opinion, just report the facts and it's newsweek here. A good source. And answer this. I'm going to go to arbitration: you made PoV vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Geiremann (talkcontribs) 14:12, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Geiremann. If you believe the contribution about the Newsweek magazine should be included, you can talk about it in its talk page. I have already created a section to discuss it there. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 14:31, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ummm

Hey I contacted that editor again... Maybe he has a hard time understanding english, so I hope that my message could be simple enough to for him/her to comprehend. I am not exactly sure it is vandalism, but I guess it's always best that we assume good faith... Thanks for your efforts :) CrimsonBlue (talk) 07:51, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it does seem that the editor is not too strong in English. I will wait and see if he replies to the messages or adds the contribution again. Stickee (talk) 08:17, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Stickee,

Do you remember when you deleted that article on the 2008 Summer California Wildfires? You remember what that article said? Congratulations, buddy, you are now guilty of concealing the truth! And on Judgement day God will punish you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.133.81.102 (talk) 22:38, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Transworld Group - We bring you the World

Hi Stickee, transworld is the group company, which is formed 30 years before. I would like to keep them on our wikipedia Csenthilmurugan (talk) 09:02, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to wikipedia Csenthilmurugan! The page Transworld Group was tagged for speedy deletion because the entire article was simply an advertisement for the organization/company, and was classified as spam. You are more than welcome to re-write the article in a neutral point of view, making sure that the information is encyclopedic and not an advertisment.
