On August 12, 2010, the WPAZ Preservation Association (an organization formed by Pottstown area citizenry interested in purchasing the station, maintaining local ownership, and instituting a format beneficial to the area) announced that an agreement of purchase would be completed (by them) with Great Scott Broadcasting on or about August 31, 2010[2]. On September 6, 2010, the WPAZPA announced through their Facebook page that the station was once again on the air, although no transfer of licensure is noted within the FCC database.[3]
