The 2010 Bodog.com World Grand Prix is the thirteenth staging of the World Grand Prix. It is being played from 4 October to 10 October. The reigning champion is Phil Taylor, who will be aiming to win his tenth World Grand Prix. The prize fund is the same as 2009 at £350,000 and the champion receiving £100,000. 32 players are taking part – the top 16 from the PDC Order of Merit, four Irish qualifiers and 12 PDPA Players Championship qualifiers. It is shown live on Sky Sports in high definition and Bodog is sponsoring the tournament for the first time.
Prize money
The total prize fund is £350,000. This is the same as the 2009 tournament. The following is the breakdown of the fund:
Champion – £100,000
Runner-up £40,000
Semi-finalists – £20,500
Quarter-finalists – £12,500
Second round losers – £7,000
First round losers – £4,000[1]
Qualification
The field of 32 players is mostly made up from the top 16 in the PDC Order of Merit on September 20, following the two Players Championships in Nuland, Netherlands. The top 8 from these rankings were also the seeded players. The remaining 16 places will go to the top 12 non-qualified players from the Players Championship Order of Merit, and then to the top 4 non-qualified residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland from the 2010 Players Championship Order of Merit who have competed in at least six Players Championship events.

Television coverage and sponsorship
The whole tournament will be screened by Sky Sports in high definition.
Bodog will sponsor the tournament for the first time.[2]
