The Apprentice 4 Disputes—Open Invitation to resolve disputes

While I vehemently disagree with both you and 70.132.4.70 regarding about Rebecca's status (Not Hired sounds too Martha-ish, don't you think?), I hereby invite you to openly conclude your views. — Dark Insanity 00:09, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you revert the anonymous user's wikify of U2 on this page? I have reverted this edit back, because there was no reason given. -- 9cds(talk) 16:59, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

User:Mb1000 does not appear to be coping with the situation regarding the article at hand. Perhaps further authority and/or third-parties should be taken into account? The situation has been ongoing for such an unbelievable amount of time. —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 20:59, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ramsay's kids

To be true I don't really know. That information was already there in the article, I just moved stuff around. I did watched the f word but I don't remember anymore. Maybe I will dl the last episode again and check it out. Garion1000 (talk) 19:34, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just did some searching. See this article, it's four children so I will change it. Tnx for noticing.[1]. Garion1000 (talk) 20:14, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

State flags

I refer the American state flags from The Amazing Race 8, I added Australian state flags for The Amazing Race 2 and The Amazing Race 4 yesterday. I like to add some American and Australian flags in those articles. - ApprenticeFan - 1/9/2006, 01:19 - UTC

test1?

Why did you put {{test1}} on User talk:Aleenf1? He did nothing to deserve it. Ashibaka tock 08:13, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I notice that you've been using the rollback tool to revert good faith, reasonable changes ([2] [3] and others) Although Wikipedia:Revert does not limit it to vandalism, that is it's intent, and I believe that it is innapropriate to use it in this way. Additionally, {{test}} should absolutely not be used the way you did here. You didn't even {{welcome}} him! It's unnacctable to treat newcomers this way. Please consider your use of the rollback tool and your treatment of new users more carefully in the future.--Sean|Black 08:34, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, User:Aleenf has added a lot of incorrect (and redundant) information to the Race pages. (User:Falconsgladiator had also been fixing some of his/her edits.) For example, he/she incorrectly stated that a contestant had competed on two editions of the Race. He/she also added redundant details without realizing that they had already been discussed in earlier sections of articles. Aleenf was also highlighting details of a contestant's short height (due to dwarfism), which was completely unecessary and inflammatory (per WP:NPOV. Similar remarks had previously been removed; currently there's no mention saying so-and-so were the heaviest/tallest/ contestants on the Race. A {{test1}} template may seem somewhat harsh, but given the circumstances and erratic edits, it was more than justifable. --Madchester 08:47, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, so they were crappy edits, but I still think they were in good faith, and that's what you should assume when a new user makes a mistake; that's why test1 refers to tests rather than vandalism. Also, please don't change {{test1}} to {{welcome}} after the fact, that's just rude. Ashibaka tock 09:18, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article Deleted

Hi, you deleted my article on hip hop references. Granted, most people in the discussion on it voted for deletion. I believe it's worth having an article about to track different trends in hip hop culture and its perceptions of mainstream culture. How could the article be changed to be relevant enough for wikipedia? Danspalding 01:54, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

HK 7-11s

Well, OK, but using "literally" suggests that at a crossroads/intersection (sorry - don't know which you'd use in Canadian English!) there would be four 7-11s, one on each corner! I think what really irked me about the sentence I removed is the way people use "literally" when they mean "almost"... But if you think the sentiment behind the deleted sentence stands, please do re-word and reinsert! Regards, CLW 15:12, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. - quite jealous of lots of your "places visited" flags on your user page! CLW 15:13, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

help

Can I get you to help me with a mediation I'm conducting at Talk:Neuro-linguistic programming? I stepped in with an outside view and was immediately personally attacked. I need some administrator firepower watching my back while I do this. Also, since I'm planning on becoming an administrator once I have more experience on wikipedia, having one watch my first mediation attempt would be helpful knowledge for me. Please do not remove comments by other users on your talk page. You've removed Alhutch's welcome message twice for no apparent reason at all. Unless its vandalism, all comments must remain on the talk page. (See WP:TP) Madchester 05:09, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Adam and andrew

It was never cleared as to which category it fell into, but seems mainly to fit into WP:WEB. If so:

Content which has been packaged into material form, such as onto CD, DVD or book form, but which is still primarily only available for sale via the internet, still falls under these guidelines. If such packaging of the product is widely available for sale in major brick and mortar retailers, then it should be considered a product, for which see Wikipedia:Notability (companies and corporations).

Therefore at least the CD created by Adam and Andrew is verifiably and notably suitable for Wikipedia, if not everything on the article.

The notability of the Numa numa song, much in the same way, cannot be proved, except that the first host, Newgrounds, falls under notable websites - and even in that case, Adam and Andrews most popular internet resource, Myspace is notable.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by WillFirminger (talkcontribs)

The Numa numa song is verifiable and notable, as evidenced by a full article in the New York Times, a major media publication. --Madchester 17:34, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the Numa numa suggestion, not particularly familiar with the subject, seemed too stupid to warrant any kind of interview to me.

I have, however, found an almost identical group called The Icy Hot Stuntaz, which contains almost exactly the same kind description as I implemented on the Adam and Andrew article, only with less information on them, no album information, less links and a picture.

I cannot believe I am fighting for this article so much, but I am sure I am right in thinking that the method in which my article was weighed up, speedily deleted and considered deletion material by so many people with no adequate reason, was completely unfair.

Super Bowl XL

Can you please refer me to any POV statements i made on the Super Bowl XL article? 68.71.35.93 08:26, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There were too many to count, but here's one example: "despite the fact that Locklear not only grabbed Haggan's face mask but also held the jersey above Haggan's right shoulder for an extended period of time." You kept injecting all these POV statements into the article and I kept having to revert them. Aplomado 23:19, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Thank you for your support on my request for adminship. It ultimately succeeded with votes of 52/1/2, so I am now an administrator. Should you have any questions, comments, complaints, or requests at any point in the future, please do not hesitate to let me know on my talk page or via e-mail.

user warnings

Hi Madchester, I would just like to bring your attention that you can substitute user warning templates as per Wikipedia:Template substitution. This will reduce the server's workload. You can simply tag user's talk page, for example, with {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. Please let me know if you have any questions. Happy Edit! --Hurricane111 19:47, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings! You have edited the Katie Holmes page in the past. I've completely reworked the article and have posted it on WP:PR in the hopes of advancing it to WP:FAC. I would be grateful for your comments at Wikipedia:Peer review/Katie Holmes. PedanticallySpeaking 18:48, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your revert

The medal table is based upon gold medal dominance. Just because you are bitter doesn't mean you can revert edits to make it less humiliating for you. Haizum 03:04, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beckie Scott revert

What are you talking about? I simply added the newer and much nicer looking medals table to the page of my favourite Olympian. Then you slap me with a second level warning? Classy. --142.59.101.81 17:00, 19 February 2006 (UTC

I do apologize for losing my cool a little, however I repectfully disagree with your assertion that you were trying to be helpful in fixing my mistakes. Being helpful, in my opinion, would involve showing me what my mistakes were so that they are not repeated instead of accusing me of vandalism and slapping me with a completely undeserved second level warning. --142.59.101.81 17:17, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Olympic Conventions

You seem to have some input you want to contribute to the Olympic medals pages! Why don't you go here and debate on what the conventions should be. Thanks. --Jared [T]/[+] 23:51, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Rfc

I noticed that you decided to sign the tired and ineffectual Rfc waged against me. Did you notice the part where the editor states that striking through his comment does not violate policy? Hmn, it looks like someone I know might be wrong. (see below)

he responded with this-which does not violate policy but shows an unwillingness to acknowledge past mistakes

Thanks for drawing my attention to this. Haizum 05:04, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Live 8 Philly.

Why did you revert my edit about Clair Brothers Audio and Franklin Simon Productions. In case you did not know, Clair Bros. Audio is the largest sound reinforcement company in the world. They have American, European, and Asian offices and their clients include Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Bon Jovi, U2, Kayne West, and countless more mega stars. They were not only an important part of Live 8 Philly, but also Live 8 London. For them to recieve no recognition for this historic event would be tragic. Not to mention, Franklin Simon Productions is a special affiliate of Clair Bros Audio and has mixed and managed such events as Woodstock II, several high profile concerts on the eastern seaboard of the US, the annual Bethlehem Musikfest, and Franklin Simon Productions has even supplied audio reinforcement for the former President of the United States, George H W Bush. If you would like to do research on Clair Bros to verify this, simply type in Clair Brothers Audio into google and click ont he first link. If you would like to verify Franklin Simon Productions, simply type in www.theaudioauction.com in your search bar and you will be directed to one of the internets largest audio auction and purchase sites which includes a complete biography of Franklin Simon Productions. Without Clair Bros Audio and Franklin Simon Productions, Live 8 Philly would not have been the best Live 8 concert in terms of Sound Quality. This has been verifed and attested to by Pro Sound News Magazine, a magazine that all industry professionals read. If you would like, you can read the article about Live 8 Philly and several more about the dominance of Clair Brothers in the Audio Industry.

Sincerely, A Live 8 Audio Crew Member.

Amazing Race-Roadblocks

The sentence was not redundant. The article makes it sound like they must find out the exact info by watching the other teams, I put they are allowed to find out the exact info after choosing a person to do it. That isn't stated, so I am reverting it.-TeckWiz

Live 8 Philly

It is not a vanity or self bio. I am a member of the local Philly Union of teamsters and have no affiliation with either company. I do, however feel that they both deserve recognition for having helped in so great of an event. I cannot believe that you, with your dedication to "making poverty history" are so reluctant to allow the mention of two great companies that helped to make Live 8 Philly and Live 8 London possible. You should be ashamed of yourself. Not to mention the fact that if I had wanted to make the article vain, I would have. It is hardly a self bio as it does not mention Roy or Troy Clair, the founders of Clair Brothers, or Franklin Simon of FSP, as individuals. I am perplexed as to your reasoning in this. Please reconsider, as I have twice petitioned maturely and passionatley for the re-inclusion of this passage in the article. If you wish, you can write it in. I would just like to see these two companies get credit for the hard work that they did to make these great events possible.

WikiProject Albums

I recently (yesterday) noticed the WikiProject for writing album articles. I have decided that I will help with writing album articles. I would like to "advertise" this through a userbox. I'm not sure what an appropriate picture would be for it, and I feel it would be better if an administrator were to create the userbox. Either doing so yourself or giving me a link to a good picture for it would be highly appreciated.La Pizza11 19:35, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have done so. The page is here: Template:user Wikiproject Albums. I have one problem, though. I wanted to make a category of all the users, and I made it here: . When I was making a link to the category page on the word "user" in my info are of the userbox, it blanked out the word and read "This user is a of WikiProject Albums". I'm not sure what's up.La Pizza11 23:12, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TAR 9

Rather than beat around the bush, let me state plainly... you've had a lot of problems in the past with regards to TAR and other reality pages. You're repeating a pattern of snap reverts with no Talk page discussion. You're even rollbacking other editors. Cool down. If you want to talk about flags, bring it up on the Talk page. -- Netoholic @ 21:57, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
