The Brandstätter Group page mostly contains information about production of Playmobil toys - and could probably have relevant info merged into this article. Anyone have thoughts on this? -Addionne (talk) 21:28, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

introduction
the current introduction is not an introduction, as it mentions "examples" that are not even mentionned in the body of the article. The introduction should just have a sentence about the fact that there are various series with some limited editions, and a longer discussion should be in the body of the text. I'd write it if I knew anything about it, I'm just pointing to how to improve the article, for people who actually know something about the subject. --2.37.41.63 (talk) 19:36, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Review

Not expansive enough. No pictures. Lockeownzj00 19:29, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)

For what its worth, my edit summary was supposed to say I sorted the non-official links alphabetically -- I figured the official site is important enough to put at the top. Ergbert 06:33, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
What is the purpose of the "Playmobil Games" entry? Most specifically, the item: "Laura?" This section should probably be removed.
There's a series of video games that takes place in the Playmobil universe. I don't know much about them, but I'll edit that section title so it makes some sense. Ergbert 02:40, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Playmobil top 25`s fans blog is now open since 8/24/09!!!!!

Pictures

There should be a close picture showing the differences between males and females, and another showing the articulation of hands, legs and feet.

I think that there should also be pictures of children and babies. Definitely more pictures needed. --Quirkyjim 21:15, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Systems

I'm researching Playmobile toys, and I see things like Steck-System and System-X. I can't figure out what they mean exactly. It seems like an encyclopedia would be get a good place to explain that. -ErinHowarth 04:57, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Supersets

Here's another question: What is super about super sets? Are the big sets? Do they have more pieces than most sets? -ErinHowarth 05:03, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They have a good range of playmobil characters. Take the Knight's super set. It includes a blacksmith a robber, a bridge tile, and a horseback knight. The average set is more like 3 soldiers or a catapult and 2 soldiers. 78.16.220.161 (talk) 12:37, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New stuff!

Stuff I added

I have added the playmobil website, alphabetized the product lines, and added a section on system x.

Be happy!

Yay us!

Fair use rationale for Image:FountainofYouthscreenshot.JPG

Image:FountainofYouthscreenshot.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The "Construction" Set

I've been watching this page on my old account for over a year now... I've always questioned the authenticity of the Trivia bit about one of the first sets involving construction workers and beer. If this is true, could someone cite it?

KrebStar3000 01:43, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I added that part, which I found in an article. I believe the source is in one of the articles in the External Links section, but I will find the exact source. Thanks! --Polylerus (talk) 20:46, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually there were brown crates with 6 green bottles each in the set. But in germany most beers are bottled in brown glass. Green glass is widely used for wine and mandatory for medicinal waters. Brown crates however are assigned solely to non-alcoholic beverages in the nationwide deposit system. So, these construction workers were either living pretty healthy or drank fancy import beer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.180.122.243 (talk) 09:05, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Distribution Section

I added a section on the distribution of new Playmobil sets to the article, derived from Collectobil. I also added the new 2009 German Sets. They are: Dragons, Ghost pirates, and a School Catsrule27 (talk) 22:22, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Commercials

Playmobil currently has 9 commercials as of 31/5/2010. Police, Egyptains, Recycling Bin, Hospital, Pirates, Police Seaplane, Pony Farm, Coast Guard and Safari Park.

Themes names

Are you really sure that there ever has been promotion for the Castles as "Steck Castle"? At least in Germany i would not know of any separate promotion of either building type ("Steck"system or "System X") of the castle away from the main "Knights" Theme. If the contributor did just mean that today all the castles (like every other building of the range) are "System X" and Steck-buildings are no longer available this should rather go into a section of its own rather than to invent Themes that never existed in this form!

Also there is definitely a mention of the "Western" theme missing from the list (as "discontinued"). --92.50.94.35 (talk) 18:53, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
