Welcome to my talk page.

Hello

Hello Jim,

I have encountered the following message: "A7: No explanation of the subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content): no independent sources". after uploading a new article on the term "BooClips."

I would like to elaborate on the the BooClips' significance; BooClips (TM) are interactive digital books that integrate videos, animation, narration of text, as well as different forms of interactivity in order to create a new and innovative experience for children. The term BooClips has been trademarked in the US by Castle Builders (IL) on June 2011 after releasing its first apps for the iPad, using LazyTown's content, under the name LazyTown's BooClips. These apps are compatible with the iPad, the PC, the Mac and will soon be compatible with the Android as well. Castle Builders is about to launch the first BooClips digital store for the PC and Mac in 2 months, which would offer BooClips by DreamWorks Animation, Garfield, Hello Kitty, LazyTown and Kids Animated Bible.

Per your request for independent sources, please find enclosed two references to the BooClips app by Castle Builders:

http://www.simonvideo.com/books/lazytown-booclips-for-ipad-entertaining-children-book/ http://www.148apps.com/news/learn-fun-lazytown-booclips/ http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-apps/27585-lazytown-booclips-app-now-available-app-store-free.html http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lazytown-booclips/id424736849?mt=8

For any question please do not hesitate to contact me. My email address is ori@castle-builders.biz I look forward to hear back from you.

Best always,

Please advise

Jim, I've been drafting an improved version of the page you recently deleted (The Clifton Report). I'd appreciated it if you'll take a look and offer more advice. I'd like to get it in good enough shape that it isn't posted with banners and warnings, when it's finally posted. If it's ok I'll repost. Thanks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Woodlandpath/sandbox Woodlandpath (talk) 14:18, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Response to your comment

Jim, The magazine "Animal People" has a paid print circulation in the tens of thousands as well as an online circulation. You can easily see that it has an international scope by going to the magazine (el provided). The previous cover story was about the health of camels in north africa and every issue has international stories: dogs in china, taiwan, etc.

But this article isn't about the magazine itself; it's about various statistical reports published by the magazine, which are focused mainly on the US and Canada. I can't provide a wikip link to the magazine because the magazine doesn't yet have a wikipedia article -- I intend to write that after I write the current article, but I have to start somewhere. This is a catch 22 situation.

I will continue to work on it, but I fail to see that the current proposal fails the NPOV test.

Thanks for your help so far . . . Woodlandpath (talk) 15:17, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

continue working on clifton report

Jim, I'll continue to work on The Clifton Report. I am not, btw, Merrit Clifton. Wikipedia itself has at least a half dozen pages on pit bulls, dog attacks, BSL, and other dangerous dog issues. These reports (the 3 Clifton Reports) offer a voice of reason and the dogfighters and dangerous dog advocates do everything in their power to discredit them. Wikipedia itself carries some of the disinformation.

In your free time, you might enjoy the following website on birds: Bird Note. It's based on a daily 2-minute radio spot which originate from my local public radio station. --Woodlandpath (talk) 16:51, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

reply to various

Of your references, the III is excellent. Ref 3 wouldn't open, refs to Merritt are obviously not independent, and the Reno paper isn't proper journalism, just asking people to write in.

Ref 3 wouldn't open
please check again; it opens here. Here's the el: http://www.ahrq.gov/news/nn/nn120110.htm
refs to Merritt are obviously not independent
I'll delete on next draft
and the Reno paper isn't proper journalism, just asking people to write in.
definitely not true. The journalist (Robison) is a paid staff employee of the Gannett news group (USA Today and dozens of other papers). Fact Check is a regular column. The reason so many people wrote in is because it's a pit bull advocacy article, all of which draw respondents like moths to a flame.

I will continue to work on the citations. Thanks. --Woodlandpath (talk) 17:49, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jimfbleak, You were kind enough to support my last FAC onMalagasy Cuisine. If you have the time, would you mind offering your thoughts on my second FAC on a Madagascar culture topic - the royal palace at the Rova of Antananarivo FAC review? RIFFATH (MALDIVES)

Jim, I am not sure how to get this done. RIFFATH is the biggest and most recognized high fashion label in Maldives (especially among the locals) and secondly Mohamed Riffath, the creator and owner of the brand is one of the most talented fashion designer and an influencial fashion figure/guru in the country. I tried to put together an article about the brand as well as a biography of the designer... Maldives does not exist much in Wiki yet (apart from all the tourism related stuff)...

how should i go on with that?

Hi Jim

This is a message I sent you a few days ago and I am not sure if you got it.

It is regarding a new phrase named BooClips in which we discussed about a few days ago:

Hi Jim,

Should you allow it, I will gladly send you by email a scan of all documentation from the law firm we work with, Stark & Stark, for the copyrighting of the Computerized Storybook platform which we use to create our BooClips which were also trademarked (and for which I can send you confirmation from the www.uspto.gov. We, Castle Builders (IL), own the domain www.booclips.com and we own many other variations of it. Earlier, I sent you links to our app, called LazyTown's BooClips, on Apple's App Store. You can find hundred of references to our BooClip apps, and as you will see from a simple search on Google, that word did not exist prior to our use for it, which derives from the words Books and Clips. I am not sure how to edit the article, which was deleted twice already, in order to add the sources you are asking for. Frankly, we were not aware of the complexity of the procedure of adding a Wikipedia term, and if you could bare with us a little longer, I am sure we would be able to meet all your requests. The text was not copied off any website; however, it was written by the same content manager that writes for our websites, so the language is similar.

Please instruct us on how to proceed.

Much obliged,

Ori Oriabr (talk) 08:07, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jim, Since my user name is still bxzooo should I still have a bxzooo user page? Or change my user name to Peggy Adler and then have a Peggy Adler user page? If the latter, how do I go about doing this? Same if it's the former? Regards, Peggy User=bxzooo Bxzooo (talk) 18:46, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Jim, The World Hajj & Umrah Convention is an extemely important event for the better of travel to Saudi Arabia for Religious pilgrimage. What I know is that the events overview was simply publised on Wiki and more factual content about the event, its relevance and importance along with references must be provide.

What do you suggest is needed for the article of World Hajj & Umrah Convention to be published on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moarif (talkcontribs) 23:03, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim too

I hope things are going well with you, certainly better than they are going with me. I find it somewhat frustrating when a I have just put additional material on a page, in this case Clifford Witcher, only to find someone has trashed my work. I would be grateful if you could restore the materialand give me an adequate explanation as to why you acted in the way you did. Thanks in advance.Leutha (talk) 13:29, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BooClips

SAM SAYA

You deleted SAM SAYA. When it clearly states that it is known in Pakistan and especially in Rawalpindi. I suppose you live in Pakistan and hundred percent sure that its not a word used in Pakistan ? Awaisahmadmir (talk) 07:00, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

author piggybacking

I just put up my first wikipedia page and it says that you deleted it! Put it back, please. In the article I was trying to explain what "author piggybacking" is as a term. I happen to do a lot of peer-reviewing of academic/scientific papers and have first-hand knowledge of the subject.

A kitten for you!

its cute and fluffy, not sure sure about the deletion of enviroprofit but i hold you no grudges and since im new only wish to learn more so that i can get it back up at a leter date, also was not sure where correct feedback part is as im sure when deleting somthing proper feedback is appreicated so that i could of made better changes to the topic.

anyways cheers and enjoy the fluffy kitten (its a nicer way of doing things then getting upset)

Deletion of my article

Hi Jim hope you are in your best moods and not so busy, so that you can satisfactorily attend to my case, am concerned you deleted my article 'dj Nesta' and the reason you gave is not very clear. What do you mean when you say lack of significance? The personality i wrote about is a big star both in radio, movies, and lately TV. Thousands of people have been looking and searching for his biography on the net and requesting magazine editors to have him featured over and over. He is a big influence on the showbiz industry in Uganda and east Africa (he has since started the most watched tv show showing on Citizen TV in Tanzania, NTV Kenya, UBC Uganda) He is the most hired MC on VIP (including state functions) and corporate functions. He has inspired hundreds of celebrated radio djs and nurtured big artists including east africas finest like Bobi wine, Bebe Kool, Fidempa, Red san etc. He has set a fashion trend, all the youth in Uganda will want to dress like him every time he steps out. Jim, what kind of importance or significance do you need? Please if there is more you would like to know or you may advise me to add to the article, am waiting and willing to learn. But i also request you to restore that article. Thank you

The National Association Of Powered Skateboard Racing

I think that you may have deleted the page prior to noticing the changes I had made; they did receive independent coverage in the Los Angeles Daily News, thus verifying their existence and claim to be the first association of powered skateboarding racers. Now, there may not be enough to survive an AfD, but I believe the speedy was in error given the changes made, plus the fact that I (an editor fully independent of the page creator, and an admin reviewing the speedy to boot) had removed the speedy deletion template about 5 minutes prior to your deletion. Request that you undelete the page, and, if you still think it's not notable, take it to AfD (thus providing some time to potentially improve the article). Hell on Heels

Would you mind restoring the Hell on Heels article? I am happy to expand the article. The music group contains several country music musicians, including Miranda Lambert. The album will be released in less than 2 weeks. --Another Believer (Talk) 17:12, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
