Wisemon soon managed to analyse that Apollomon is still conscious within the body of Whispered and Taiki went to settle the score with him, while attempting to free Apollomon from the virus. As Kiriha and Nene hold over Apollomon's army, Taiki and his Digimon make their way to Apollomon's shrine. But, as they reach the top, Whispered disguised himself as Apollomon to trick Taiki in order to kill him . However, Taiki uses OmegaShoutmon to strike the Death General. When Kiriha and Nene reach the shrine, they form Shoutmon ×7 and the epic battle with Whispered begins. However, Whispered forms a barrier to hold off Shoutmon ×7, while he starts to collect energy to destroy the Land with his attack. As Dracomon and Mervamon free Shoutmon ×7, he uses his strenght to go up against Whispered's attack. Unfortunately, Shoutmon ×7 was incapable to hold the attack off. Seeing this, Apollomon uses his last ounce of consciousness to urge Taiki to destroy both Whispered and himself, as he would rather die than remain a slave with the Digital World doomed. Honoring Apollomon's request, Shoutmon ×7 uses his strongest attack over Whispered, ending the battle and saving the life of all the Land's Digimon. Meanwhile, DarkKnightmon plans his next move after learning of Apollomon's defeat. Furthermore, Yuu loses Damemon, because of his injuries from the battle with ×7, and realized that Taiki was telling the truth.
