While that IP's comment about how the Kents should have named the young Kal-El "Jack" doesn't have much to do with improving the article, I have to admit it was funny. If he had asked it more seriously, the answer is hinted at in the movie when Jonathan Kent calls his wife by her full name, "Martha Clark Kent". Clark was thus named for his mother's maiden name, which was not at all unusual at one time in this country. I remember thinking at the time, though, that they kind of screwed up the point, thanks to peculiar editing that jumped from one camera to another just as he was saying "Martha Clark Kent". ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:08, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The film article doesn't directly explain it, although it is mentioned in some of the spinoff articles, including Clark Kent and Jonathan and Martha Kent. Maybe it should be mentioned in the film article? A simple way to do it would be to simply present Ma Kent's name as "Martha Clark Kent" instead of just "Martha Kent"? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:24, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not arguing for overtly explaining it in the article. I'm just saying, list her name as "Martha Clark Kent", as it was stated in the film. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:32, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it was stated in the film. That's what I was talking about in my first entry above. Before the moment where the truck slips off its jack-stand, and Kal-El catches the truck and lifts it before it can harm Jonathan, Ma and Pa Kent are having a discussion about what to do with this young'un that they just found in the wreckage of the Kryptonian spacecraft. Ma is kind of staring off into the distance, and Pa says, "Martha Clark Kent, are you listening to what I'm saying?" ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:37, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Go to about 2:30 of this clip:[1]Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:48, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I would like for you to see if you notice the poorly-timed camera cut that occurs between "Martha" and "Clark". ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:50, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That movie had a lot of quick-cut edits, but that one was a little too quick. I went ahead and added Martha's maiden name, and we'll see if anyone yelps. :) ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 23:01, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ultimate Spider-Man

With whatever you are doing with Ultimate Spider-Man tv series it would be nice to also cite the bare URLs. Thank you. :) Jhenderson 777 14:52, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Superman: Man of Steel

As I have observed with numerous comic-related movies currently in production, i have created the Superman: Man of Steel one, and i ask you if you could help with the development of it. Please reply. Rusted AutoParts (talk) 19:31 27 March 2011 (UTC)

-5-, I do sort of want to hear your opinion on the AFD on the film project article stay or not to stay. I am pretty neutral on this one for once. For it still looks good still being a section in my opinion. Jhenderson 777 21:20, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GA related to you

Backspacer I realize that you are not involved in editing these topics anymore, but you were the main contributor to this and I've only added a little here and there, so I figured that I should let you know. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 23:45, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So sorry I've been terribly ambiguous--the article was simply nominated for GA. I'm pretty sure that it will pass with only minimal effort on my part. Sorry about that. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 01:04, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Avengers: EMH

I have added to the discussion on the page, Talk:List_of_The_Avengers:_Earth's_Mightiest_Heroes_episodes, and wished to inform you, as you have also contributed and I have so far received no response. --ProfessorKilroy (talk) 11:34, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request for comment

This is a neutral request for comments concerning List of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes episodes. The micro-series was recently changed from this to this. I would like your opinion on what is best presentation of this information as well if the episodes should be listed by the order they were aired or by the order they were produced. An ongoing discussion on the subject can be found here.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:26, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comments

Not sure if you are still using Wiki, or getting my messages or something, but I invite you again anyway, to leave your thoughts here. I noticed that you made some contributions to the discussion earlier, and I would very much appreciate some more input. The discussion became quite messy, so I thought it best to take it from the top, because frankly, at least some of my points need some attention. --ProfessorKilroy (talk) 08:36, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine. --ProfessorKilroy (talk) 08:44, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on adding the cover art. Are you back for good on all things Pearl Jam on here? Heading over to any of the upcoming shows? Lugnuts (talk) 11:10, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well good to see you about in any capacity. Yes, I'm looking forward to the film too. Lugnuts (talk) 17:54, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
