Gray signed an executive order in October 2011 making D.C. a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. Even when people are arrested, their immigration status will now not be checked. This salient aspect of Gray's tenure should be included in the main article.

  • I'm reassessing as start class, high importance. This article is extremely lopsided towards recent events: everything before 2010 is cursory. Vincent Gray has been a notable politician in DC for over 20 years, and the press makes frequent reference to his personality, family life, and upbringing; the reader deserves more detail. --M@rēino 20:43, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

- This page expemplifies both the strengths and the weaknesses of collaborative sites like this one. I checked this out earlier this morning, and someone had change this page to say that Mr. Gray is the mayor of D.C. While he will become mayor, barring outlandish circumstances, he's not mayor yet. And when I decided to come back to fix it a few minutes later, I found that someone already had. Bravo, wiki-fixers! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.96.224.11 (talk) 13:43, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
