List of islands of Taiwan

This is a list of islands under the Republic of China administration (all claimed by the People's Republic of China).

(A) Under the jurisdiction of Taiwan Province

• Taiwan Island (台灣島) (Taipei Municipality and Kaohsiung Municipality on the Taiwan Island are not part of Taiwan Province)

  • The Three Northern Islands (北方三島)
    • Huaping Islet (花瓶嶼)
    • Mianhua Islet (棉花嶼)

    • Cimei (七美)
    • Wang-an (望安)

  • Liouciou Islet (琉球嶼)

  • Orchid Island (蘭嶼) (Lanyu Township)

(B) Under the jurisdiction of Fuchien Province

(C) Under the jurisdiction of Kaohsiung Municipality

• South China Sea Islands (南海諸島)
  • Pratas Islands (Dongsha) (東沙群島)
  • Taiping (太平島) (disputed with several Southeast Asian countries)

These islands were part of Guangdong province, and later the Hainan Special Administrative Region, before the relocation of the ROC government to Taiwan in 1949. The ROC claims all the South China Sea Islands, but only administers Pratas and Taiping.
