Revision as of 00:15, 18 December 2011

Just in case anyone wants to talk to me.... Peridon (talk) 20:42, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Back numbers of this magazine can be found at: User talk:Peridon/Archives/2008/November User talk:Peridon/Archives/2009/May User talk:Peridon/Archives/2010/February User talk:Peridon/Archives/2010/January

The rest of this is archived somewhere. There's a nice little bot comes in and tidies up. (Could do with one at home...) Not quite sure where it puts the stuff, but I'm working on it... Meantime, copy one of the above and change the date to suit - or look at the little archive box that Jean Calleo gave me.

Please add messages at the bottom of the page so I can find them. Thanks. Do put a heading inside == == and sign with ~~~~. If you don't get a reply from me (or one of the stalkers...) within a reasonable time, you've probably not read this. If you have read it and ignored it, it's your own fault. If you haven't read it, READ IT NOW. Another reason to post at the bottom is that if you post at the top and someone else posts at the bottom, I'll see their message, but won't suspect there's another. Up to you. Ignore this if you want. Just don't blame me.

Talkback

Hello, Peridon. You have new messages at ItsZippy's talk page.

Deleted Page

Hi Peridon, I am an actor trying to put a wiki online which you deleted today - this will ultimately help me as an actor get work - the page is Lorne MacFadyen - could you please undelete this? I've never created a wiki before so if it's because of me not including some sort of verification I would appreciate you letting me know what to do. Thanks!

New Danish cuisine

Hello Peridon. I see you speedy deleted New Danish cuisine under criteria G11 "Unambiguous advertising or promotion. Pages that are exclusively promotional, and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic". Having had a look to the sandbox version User:Ipigott/Sandbox2, I think this might have been excessive, and maybe a regular AfD would have been more appropriate. I think the article can be improved, and if you look to the contributions of the editor you might find that he has demonstrated ability to write encyclopaedic content and is able to improve the article to meet WP:NPOV. Please have a second look to this decision and consider restoring the article giving the editor the chance to improve it. --Elekhh (talk) 23:15, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I certainly agree that there were passages in the article that might be misinterpreted as advertising. I can assure you that if so, this was purely accidental and unintentional. I have reworked the text in my sandbox at User:Ipigott/Sandbox2. I hope the article can now be reinstated as a regular AfD, enabling me to substitute the new version. - Ipigott (talk) 10:43, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In the past few hours, with strong support from Filing Flunky, the draft in my sandbox has been further revised. It looks to me as if it could now be reintroduced as a new article without the AfD tag. My problem is I don't know how to go about this. Can you help? - Ipigott (talk) 14:40, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The wording is vastly improved. One concern remains - the article is a little tied to one particular restaurant. Would it be possible to introduce a bit more variety, or is this 'movement' confined to the one? (I was interested in the use of ramsons. Being a lover of garlic, I've been thinking of introducing it to my garden for the smell. I wasn't aware that it is edible - for me, most of the onion family is inedible save garlic.) Peridon (talk) 19:04, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll certainly include a few more restaurants although Noma has of course been a guiding light. I had in fact deleted references to a few of them as I thought that might have been one of the advertising concerns. As for ransoms, they are certainly edible and have what some people consider to be a very pleasant smell which add to the attractiveness of the dish. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to look through the article again. - Ipigott (talk) 08:13, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
