The 2012 Allstate BCS Championship Game is a postseason college football bowl game between the LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide, scheduled to be the final college football game to determine the national champion of the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season on Monday, January 9, 2012, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game is part of the 2011–2012 Bowl Championship Series of the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season and will be the concluding game of the season for both teams. The game, the 6th edition of the BCS National Championship Game, will be televised in the United States on ESPN, with a simulcast on both ESPN3.com and ESPN 3D, at 8:30 p.m. US EST.
