* I have a problem with the following quote and/or section in paragraph 6: "The city became heavily black and impoverished by the 1980s." It seems like someone is trying to infer that there is a juxtaposition between blacks and poverty; as if they're synonymous. Attempting to do so is discriminatory at best and should be removed and/or modified forthwith. -- [[User:Kcgs1989|Kcgs1989]] ([[User talk:Kcgs1989|talk]]) 18:19, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Neutrality Dispute

Anything in particular you want to point out? If this is just a non-specific rant, the tags you added will be removed. olderwiser 18:59, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would also point out that there are maintenance tags for poorly-sourced articles ({{Refimprove}}) and for poorly-written articles ({{Cleanup-rewrite}}). If that's what you mean, please use those tags rather than accusing someone of malfeasance. Or else, as you say, "take the initiative and do some real research" yourself! As the saying goes around here, Be Bold! I wholeheartedly look forward to the results! --M@rēino 18:54, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I agree with those who have spoken. The tag will be removed. If you have specific and individual concerns, you can mark them with the appropriate tags. --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:47, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious claim

"In 1944, the Davison Freeway, the world's first modern limited access urban expressway (freeway), was opened, running through the center of the city. The freeway was completely reconstructed and widened to improve its safety in 1996 to 1997"

What about the German Autobahns, which opened in the 1930s?

Mtaylor848 (talk) 19:17, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"What about the German Autobahns, which opened in the 1930s?" That may be the case however, I believe its fair to say that this expressway was the first in the United States. If you can concede to that fact then I believe its in order to edit the page. The only thing dubious is an individual getting their facts misconstrued.

Not only the German Autobahns, but what about the Merritt Parkway, also opened in the 1930s and also in the USA? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eric12 (talkcontribs) 17:58, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merritt Parkway appears to be a highway, which, coincidentally is different from an expressway. There are stark differences between a highway and a freeway.

Education -- section has serious typo that needs correction

there elementary schools -- Surely you mean either three elementary schools? or is it their elementary schools.

Chrysler Headquarters

Not a single mention of the other Big Three's former headquarters, when it's removal depleted the city of its already eroded tax base? MMetro 09:47, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Highland Park, Michigan

Who created the Highland Park, Michigan page. This page is inconclusive and missing alot of relevent data. There is no mention to the city ties with the auto industry. In the government and infrastructure section it lists that the government runs and operates a post office. You negated to mention that the government runs social security administration buildings as well in Highland Park. On a scale from 1-10 I give this page a negative 10. There is much more information contained in the Hamtramck, Michigan page and there is much more going on with Highland Park, Michigan in terms of news, history, the whole nine yards.

Kcgs1989 (talk) 18:10, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Made correction to the section where it listed governmental structure. Highland Park no longer has an Emergency Financial Manager who was Robert Mason.

Demographics

So how come Hamtramck, literally next door, managed to retain its white/Middle Eastern population when Highland Park didn't?91.106.87.153 (talk) 19:25, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
