Hi! I noticed you undid the edit I made to Joe the Plumber. My edit was based on mainstream journalistic sources, verified, and documented. So it is a bit unclear in the Undo explanation the rationale for taking exception to the inclusion of factual information.

By undoing the edit you actually put counterfactual information in the entry!

Revision as of 18:36, 12 April 2012

A black and white rendering of a Red Pen of Doom.

The name TheRedPen was already taken, so I must perforce add to the moniker.

I also edit South Park and Family Guy and other "cultural reference" pages and from public log in sites as User:Notnotkenny. Notnotkenny (talk) 00:17, 10 March 2009 (UTC) Yes I do. -- The Red Pen of Doom 00:19, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What I Was Saying Before... by Dane Youssef

I am really boring and no-one on the internet cares about what I have to say. Nevertheless I'll tell you my life story because I am pretentious and have nothing better to do with my sad life. What I was trying to tell you before was someone... some hilarious comedian, went onto my page and erased my entire profile, my entire bio--erasing everything and replacing it with some obnoxious comment. It was not just graffiti. It was vandalism in the truest sense. Nonetheless I found it really funny. I beg you, anyone reading this, to likewise edit my page and make it into some incomprehensible crap, because no-one out there cares about what I have to say anyway. I'm mistaken in thinking that every contribution I've made on this site is hard truth, which is why much has been discarded for the most trivial of reasons. Every word I wrote on Lisa Robin Kelly--total bollocks. It was all rejected. Why? 'Cause the researchers at Wikipedia couldn't find any confirming data. Silly, but I accept it. Anyway, some jerk erased everything I put on my personal page and put up something disparaging. It's gone now, I erased it and re-instated everything. But the fact that someone could and did do this is hilarious. If you could, find out who did this and if possible--congratulate them. Thank you kindly, all the best....

On my site (DANE YOUSSEF), it won't let me log in and submit. What's going on? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SURFUR (talkcontribs) 05:50, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You threaten me? All I did was point out that someone had erased my entire page and put up a disgusting comment in it's place. Someone actually put up the phrase: "I really hate black people" on my page. This is a problem--not just for me. Was this "person" brought to justice? I'm sorry, but I have to ask. --SURFUR

brandy norwood

this user Noboyo is a complete hack and is needlessly deleing sourced content.

look at this users discussion page. how is this user not banned?

this user deleted sources info on brandy legal probelms. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.91.191.29 (talk) 07:25, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I’m actually pretty shocked to read that this unsigned user calls me a „hacker.“ I’ve been a frequent contributer to the Brandy Norwood article ever since its creation – and it was not my intention to delete material. I rather thought this was unessential to her biography. – Noboyo

I trimmed the section back rather than deleting it. Based on history, I suspect the IP is Marc Mysterio or someone related to him. He's a fairly minor Canadian act that tries to use Wikipedia as a promotional vehicle.—Kww(talk) 13:58, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article was not blanked. It was reduced to a stub that does not violate major principles of the encyclopedi, the standard procedure for inappropriate articles undergoing AfD to keep the offending content from being presented during the process. -- The Red Pen of Doom 01:58, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Condescending "Welcome to Wikipedia" user:talk page edits

I just thought I'd let you that making "Welcome to Wikipedia" edits on 4 year old accounts because they voice opinion and/or viewpoints that differ from yours is of bad taste and might reflect negatively on your character.

Please consider this before editing talk pages. Kyleshome (talk) 01:00, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you were offended, please accept my aplology. Because while your account may have been created 4 years ago, the account had made all of 7 edits, two of those to your own talk page.
Perhaps you have become familiar with the Wikipedia policies and so forth that are detailed in the welcome template through a silent "stalking" of the backwoods of Wikipedia's ins and outs, but I had no way of knowing that. It does appear that one of the places you have missed in your personal exploration of Wikipedia is: WP:AGF. -- The Red Pen of Doom 01:20, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see you HAVE found it! -- The Red Pen of Doom 02:07, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Lawrence (comedian)

I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}} tag from Andrew Lawrence (comedian), which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think this article should be deleted, please do not add {{proposed deletion}} back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! TerriersFan (talk) 16:37, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message

I appreciate the welcome, thanks. I am threading very lightly for different reasons, not the least of which is that I am barely recognizing Wikipedia's structure and mechanisms. Someone is ought to write an article about that  : )

Thanks again, feel free to write and I'll see you around Maratz (talk) 10:36, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"You may find "pies"...

In the middle of a very serious discusion on an even more serious topic, you throw in the above comment. Thank you for a respite from my 'bubbling anger' toward a fellow editor. BTW, cow pies are quite useful. Fuel, weapons, articles of sport, construction, and many more. Your quip adds "dessert" to the list. :~)..```Buster Seven Talk 14:04, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

I tried to click on your edit diff on my iPod and it made me rollback instead. Sorry, I did not intend to revert. Toa Nidhiki05 17:18, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Misclicks happen! -- The Red Pen of Doom 17:20, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. I'll probably make an alternate account with no rollback or Twikle privileges so that this type of thing won't happen again. Toa Nidhiki05 17:22, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Image

I didn't add any image there. First check who added the image before coming with your warning and all. What I asked is to go to the image and tag it with appropriate copyright infringement tag and once it is removed from Wikipedia, remove the links wherever used. 11:47, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Hello, copyright issue is for the image and it should be addressed in that way only, hope you understand that. Simply removing the link from that article can be done by anyone like you, but if you are serious about the copyright you should address the photo and get it removed to have a permanent solution.
Anish Viswa 11:58, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Deleting image links from articles is not the proper method, since the image will still remain un-noticed and people can still reuse it in some article which others may not notice, like other language Wikis. Even now it may be used in Malayalam Wiki, Hindi wiki etc. To really address the issue, we have to target the image, that is what I am saying.
Anish Viswa 12:11, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That is a better solution or the right way of doing it. Removing image links from certain articles was found not effective before also, since unauthorised use of those images were present in other language wikis having less patrollers.
