I added the fair use rationale to the image page. It makes a lot of sense to use this image here - we should add it back. Jeremeiah Evarts was a central figure in the early history of the ABCFM. It definitely adds meaning to the article. Also, the fair use rationale is perfectly fine. Thanks, Brholden (talk) 21:14, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Upcoming Boston Conference on ABCFM History/Anniversary, Info for this article may be developed, suggestions sought

Just FYI: There will be a celebration of the ABCFM's history on September 25 in Boston, sponsored by the Congregational Library, the Boston Theological Institute, Bentley College, and the ABCFM. Papers, a trolley tour of relevant Boston sites, a display on missions at the Congreagational Library and a dinner with invited speaker at Park St. Church are included. For information, see the Congregational Library website. I'm not sure if this should be written up for this site per se, but information to be presented at the conference should be of interest and might contribute to this site; suggestions and direction appreciated. Is www.14beacon.org the site you are talking about? Yes, we probably should mention in this article. And I noticed that that page links to this article, so need to be careful of course of circular reference. I could not get some of the links to work on their web site (e.g. liberty3.net) so that is not a good sign. Anyone have a contact? W Nowicki (talk) 04:15, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Declining influence?

It is apparent that this group is no longer as influential as it was; it seems to have been merged into some sort of successor body, but there are no specifics. It is as if it just existed in the nineteenth century and then just stopped. 75.216.244.65 (talk) 12:14, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
