As this photo was almost certainly taken by a member of the British Armed Forces in the course of his duties, it would be [[Crown Copyright]], and thus now out of copyright as being in excess of 50 years old, would it not? :It probably is, but even if it's not, ''[[Flight International|Flight]]'' have very generously given blanket permission for reproduction of their older images provided proper credit is given and they are not too large in size. There is a statement from them to this effect on Wikipedia somewhere but I haven't a link to it ATM.

Copyright status

As this photo was almost certainly taken by a member of the British Armed Forces in the course of his duties, it would be Crown Copyright, and thus now out of copyright as being in excess of 50 years old, would it not? Mjroots (talk) 11:33, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It probably is, but even if it's not, Flight have very generously given blanket permission for reproduction of their older images provided proper credit is given and they are not too large in size. There is a statement from them to this effect on Wikipedia somewhere but I haven't a link to it ATM.
