- File:Finale Satyajit. 1JPG.JPG (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Seems to be a derivative work of toys. See Commons:COM:DW#I know that I can't upload photos of copyrighted art (like paintings and statues), but what about toys? Toys are not art!. Stefan2 (talk) 13:24, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- Comment. Not too sure about this one, see a similar case. — ξxplicit 00:54, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
- Exactly what aspect of Commons:COM:DW#Isn't every product copyrighted by someone? What about cars? Or kitchen chairs? My computer case? would save this image? The reason isn't stated in the previous request and the object looks like a toy whereas the mentioned section deals with utilitarian objects. --Stefan2 (talk) 22:26, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- I would say this part "Legally, most toys are art." is the best shot. It says "most" but not "all". Mickey Mouse, Asterix and Pokémon is mentioned as examples that is not ok. Probably because they are very easy to recognize and because their look is important and they are carefully designed the way they are. In this case I'm not sure if it is important how the dolls look. I asume the important is what the person says and does with the dolls. But not an easy case. I don't know what I would do here. --MGA73 (talk) 18:56, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

- Keep All original toys. ObtundTalk 22:50, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Keep The puppets are clearly included in context. The portrait is of Padhye doing what Padhye does; there are many such photos with him holding his puppets, and these do not infringe on the rights of the person who owns the puppet. See this Commons policy. This is clearly a very different photograph to, say, this one, where we would have to take into account the rights of the individual who owns the copyrights of the puppet's design (that said, most of the protection may well come from trademarks, as opposed to copyrights).
