Like the poet Ivor Cutler, Shrigley finds humour in flat depictions of the inconsequential..

Firstly, (and Mr Cutler taught at my primary school) he wasn't "a poet", that's ridiculous. Secondly, why bring Ivor Cutler up at all? Plenty of people find humour in flat... etc.
