Swiper makes a bet that he can beat Madeline, but finds him too strong; Madame LaCroque finds that Dora (Kathleen Herles) is too tricky. Swiper suggests that they capture their friends, Pepito and Boots, and frame each other for it. The trick works, and when Madeline arrives in the Exploring Area, Dora and Diego (Felipe Dieppa) defeat her using surroundings and Dora's agility, until Madeline and Dora are eventually trapped under a building. Madeline rescues them, and realizing that Madame LaCroque and Swiper have teamed up, they go to the Lace Factory disguised as each other. Swiper doesn't realize the deception until it's too late, when his Magic Necklace got Smashed by Madeline, causing him to become dead permanently. Boots and Pepito have meanwhile been freed, and Dora tells Madeline she'll make a great french girl before returning to the Exploring Area. Pepito, having bonded with Boots, asks if they can get a monkey.
