Album Classification

Shouldn't Ghost's new album, 12 Reasons, be put under his Collaborations instead of Studio Albums? He collaborates with ONE producer for the album, Adrian Younge, so I believe thats where it should be placed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.228.145.233 (talk) 13:11, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Slanderous Material

The assertion that Ghostface Killah "hit it raw aplenty" and cited by source 7 ^ Ghostface & Prodigy "Trials Of Life", accessed on March 21, 2007 leads to a false link. This should be removed as it is clearly not true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.81.101.218 (talk) 20:28, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

lyric quotes

Note: On "Ice Water" off of "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..." Raekwon says "To top it all off, beef with WIFE" not "White" check the context of the song

Ghostface Killah v. Ghostface

This has been moved back and forth, and I stand by my opinion that it should be under just Ghostface. See this quote from his official bio, for instance:

Who's gonna take the weight? In these days and times--the last days--for a multitude of reasons, this is the question at hand. And, if ever there was any doubt, the answer is, of course, none other than Ghostface (the artist formerly known as Ghostface Killah, or GFK, to friends). / http://www6.defjam.com/site/artist_bio.php?artist_id=485

I don't entirely oppose using Ghostface Killah in some places in the article though, since it's used at a few places on his official site (http://www6.defjam.com/site/artist_home.php?artist_id=485), but his name is Ghostface.

I'm not moving the page yet though, preventing an edit war. Please express your views here.

Cover of "Fishscale" indicates he's Ghostface Killah again. 219.89.23.13 21:54, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Allright, I've changed my mind, I agree with keeping Killah.

Just move it to Dennis Coles. A lot simpler to use his real name. mad_cat_42 04:09, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I second using Dennis Coles. 71.127.255.234 15:20, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tony Stark/Iron Man References

The name of Iron Man is Tony Stark, not Starks. Which does Ghostface actually go by? Is he using the name wrong, or is the article wrong?

Ghostface uses Starks
he also uses "toney" instead of "tony"

Why does he use the name of this particular character anyway? Do they have something in common? Or is he just Killah's favorite comic book character?

Yeah the second one,he's huge comic book fan.

Just a guess, but amybe it's becuse he used to wear that mask? Metal Mask -> Iron Mask -> Ironman? I think we should include some photos of him with the mask too. (Rishi B 14:00, 17 August 2006 (UTC))[reply]

He goes by Tony Starks, and I suppose it's just because Tony Stark aka Iron Man is a rich playboy, like Ghostface is or thinks he is.

From an Onion AV Club interview:

AVC: What attracted you to the character of Iron Man?
GK: I was Tony Starks [sic.] first, and then Tony Starks and the Iron Man is the same dude, so that, I guess, that could be the other side of me. That was it.
AVC: Are you into comic books?
GK: No. I just had this shirt and it was a Tony Starks shirt, and when I put it on… that was it. It just felt like, "This is what it is now."

Tony Stark is rich and powerful. Ironman is encased in a protective suit of armor, and does battle in single combat. Not hard to see the appeal. --Mrflip (talk) 02:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm

Ghostface is too fucking ill, he's my 2nd favorite Wu member (with Raekwon being 1st), and on my top 10 list. He played a big part in "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..." which is top 5 for me, and also "Supreme Clientele" which is top 15.--Tainted Drifter 08:05, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Raekwons voice on supreme clientele

It was Raekwons voice on Supreme Clientele not Ghostace on the clyde smith skit. =) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 195.194.222.10 (talk) 11:52, 11 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

5% or sunni?

Look, I think it'd be awesome if Ghostface was Sunni, but is he? I find lots of articles stating it as fact, but have yet to find the source article. All lyrical evidence seems to suggest he's still 5% (except lost underwater) Does anyone have any information on this?

Big ups for putting up that link. That's really neat! I'ma check if he's added to "muslim rappers" and so forth.

This article should mention hating whites

Shouldn't there be some mention in this article about this artist's race hatred (of whites)? What do you think a 'Ghostface' is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.198.202.79 (talk) 03:01, 30 November 2007 (UTC) Or am I not understanding something in "Ghostface Killah"? 71.198.202.79 05:48, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The name ghostface killah is from a 1979 cult kung fu film "The Mystery of Chess Boxing". Alot of the members from wu-tang clan have names originating from this film. It isn't racist in any way at all

Yeah, that is perhaps the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. While we're at it, let's talk about how Eminem and Marilyn Manson are the same person! M & M=MM=Marilyn Manson! HOLY CRAP! I TOO CAN FIND HIDDEN MEANINGS IN NAMES WITHOUT DOING ANY RESEARCH —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.247.199.238 (talk) 08:35, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aliases Section

I noticed the aliases section had been pulled. Rap aliases are more than just nicknames or stage names: they are notable artistic choices. Ghostface has several developed personae he raps through, each with their own backstory. He is extensively credited and referenced by several of them (particularly Tony Starks). You can't tell a complete story about GFK without describing his experimentation with roles, fronts, names and personae. --Mrflip (talk) 02:33, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship with Raekwon

I seem to remember that Ghostface Killah and Raekwon are half-brothers. I don't have a source to back this up, but, if true, I think it's an important bit of information, especially since the two of them collaborate very closely, and (in my opinion) have voices which are similar in some ways. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.249.213.41 (talk) 22:56, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've never heard that and am pretty sure I would have at some point were that a well-known fact [stupid -ed.]. Obviously GZA, RZA, and ODB were cousins but I don't know of any direct familial relations beyond that. A Google search doesn't turn up any sources on this either, so it's not something we can include at this point since it's likely untrue and definitely not verifiable at the moment.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 05:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, I've also read interviews with them stating that they are half-brothers. I'm not sure if they grew up in the same household together, but they share a mother. 196.215.50.173 (talk) 21:42, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced material

I noticed that STATicVerseatide (talk · contribs) made an edit to a biography of a living person, Ghostface Killah, but that he didn't support his changes with a citation to a reliable source.
