== Inappropriate deletion ==

How did you delete the links provided in the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohan_Rakesh page? Did you check the Talk section? After a 3rd opinion from an independent reviewer the links were kept. why did you delete it? Did you discuss with the person who provided his opinion as the 3rd Opinion?

PLASE HELP

Flat Out please help me... i need to add Mariano Narodowski article. The point is that i already introduce the article in spanish an in simple english without problem but when i tried to put it in english the objected it for "notability". I read the wikipedia help pages about it and i introduce few links and reference but the template with the adviece is still there... How can i arranged this????

HELP ME PLEASE :)

(talk page stalker) To editor KafkaontheShore: The notability issue for academics is addressed at WP:ACADEMIC. Narodowski does not appear to have held an endowed chair or been particularly noted or awarded for his work. That's the case you need to make. The good news is, that article has only been proposed for deletion, rather than nominated for deletion. You can improve this article and a third party can remove that banner.
The fact that you were able to add this content in other wikis has no bearing here. Eventually editors at the simple English- and Spanish-language wikis will likely nominate that content for deletion. Since you're inexperienced on Wikipedia, you might be better off building this article in your sandbox and getting help from WP:WikiProject Argentina rather that struggle saving the current article. Getting some information

Hi there as a fellow Aussie on Wikipedia I thought I would ask you a few questions if I could...

In terms of articles with references, if I see a comment / quote / statistic that references an external article and when I go to read that external article it doesn't mention the comment / quote / statistic that was mentioned on the wikipedia page is that grounds to have the comment removed?

If I wish to start editing how do I get a good list of articles to look at?

How many sources are generally required for something to be considered factual?

Thanks for your assistance I really appreciate it.

Best Regards

DanDanomitey (talk) 03:03, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) To editor Danomitey: I can field those questions for you! If ever there's a citation in an article and the cited source does not back up the text in the article, you may remove it. You could also use {{dubious}} to point out that the statement in the article needs checking. We don't want unverified information on Wikipedia within reason. Often you can verify any fact with just one good source. See our sourcing guideline about that.
The best place to look where to start is one of our cleanup categories. There are myriad articles that are tagged with needing help with everything from copyediting to referencing to image use.
Since you're new, you could try out the Wikipedia Adventure. It's good introduction to the buttonology of Wikipedia. Chris Troutman (talk) 05:48, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adaadat page deletion..

Hello, I was wondering what improvements I could make to stop the deletion of the Adaadat records page i just wrote? i'm new to wikipedia.. thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 15:40, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bioruhaileskou to meet notability requirements, companies need to meet or exceed WP:CORP. Have a read and see if the company meets the guidelines. CheersFlat Out let's discuss it 15:49, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I read the WP:CORP article, I'm pretty sure they meet the guidelines. I've added 3 more references and filled out the article a bit, what are you're thoughts, thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 18:46, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Biography

Please go ahead and delete this article for me because the title is supposed to be "Gerald Spangrude" not "Spangrude". This is not written about myself, but rather about my father. I have taken out the personal flavor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spangrudec (talkcontribs) 01:54, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Spangrudec, I have moved (re-titled) the article for you. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:03, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Content about Dr. Daisaku Ikeda

Hi! Thank you for sending me all the links. And thank you for WARNING me against removal of sections. But these sections have absolutely no proof of reference that such an incident with a priest of Nichiren Shoshu ever occurred. Dr. Ikeda has always been the compassionate person and followed true principles of Buddhism. Request you to check your sources and perhaps truly understand the person's mission of world peace. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ankitguptansk07 (talkcontribs) 02:05, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ankitguptansk07, the sections you blanked did have references and you deleted them without explanation. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:08, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi man! Did you delete my page? But why? please explain why immediately after this message. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djobiguy46 (talkcontribs) 02:34, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Raymond keene

Hi, I have just returned from London and volunteer at the World Memory Championships since 2001 which was founded by tony Buzan and raymond keene. Ray strongly objects to allegations of plagerism and was trying to correct the public record. What is the best way to do that?

Thanks Jennifer Gold Coast — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jennifer.goddard (talkcontribs) 02:38, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jennifer.goddard, wikipedia articles are summaries of what is written about a subject by reliable sources. We do not censor here. If you believe the article is incorrect please raise your concerns at the article's talk page. Flat Out let's discuss it 09:15, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

plan b reference removed from adaadat page

thanks for helping with the article, hhowever i'm struggling see how the plan b reference could be considered unreliable. plan b magazine was a well known internationally distributed music magazine - http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2009/jun/04/plan-b-magazine-remembered the author frances morgan is a well known music journalist and publisher of the magazine - http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/frances-morgan/23/214/50 and finally the last third of the article features an interview with adaadat founder angus keith talking about the label.

thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 10:06, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bioruhaileskou the reference http://www.adaadat.co.uk/romvelope/img/planb.gif can not be used to support a claim about reputation because it is self-published by adaadat. It isn't independent Flat Out let's discuss it 10:10, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

hi, i think i understand now, i should have used Cite journal instead of Cite web in the reference. by "self-published" are you referring to the fact that the scan of the article is hosted on the adaadat website? obviously the original version was published in the magazine.

Thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 11:14, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just redid the reference, i found an impartial third party source for the url and i changed the citation from web to journal. Is this ok now? thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 13:49, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Flat Out - this is actually a bit of an odd case. A lot of that page is from a deleted page Gabriel Oyibo, which has been re-created off-site here. I think that most of the rest of it is from http://gagutofappit.org/ itself, rather than from the forum (which copied it from there). Gotta duck out now - cycle to the shops before the Cricket finishes - but I'll come back and have a look at it. Pete aka --Flat Out let's discuss it 06:26, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Weird. I think the URL was triggering some spam filter or whacky website blacklist or something like that. Anyway, it's speedily deletable under any number of criteria.--Shirt58 (talk) 07:42, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A brownie for you!

Since we don't have a WikiLove Aussie food I thought I might go with something safe and chocolate.

It's always good to have other Australians working on Wikipedia, and I've seen your username around the place recently working well. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 10:30, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good faith editing

For the record, I called myself "facetious", not you . . . and I have partially restored my edit to Allen Stanford. I would have appreciated a reply to my comment here rather a wholesale deletion. I appreciate your welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your BLP review. I am certain my edit satisfies its requirements. Thank you. — GeeIsUs. (talk) 11:14, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you expect a response from me here, then I suggest you alter your approach. As I commented on your talk page, WP:BLP applies to all mentioned living persons not just the subject of the article. Flat Out let's discuss it 11:17, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Biddenham dovecote

I wondered what the problem was with the above page? It is part of a series of new pages about Biddenham village pond, the Friends of the Pond and the dovecote that once stood by it. I'm new to Wikipedia so would be grateful for your advice as I would like to retain the page. And haven't used the Talk facility before so I hope this gets to you. Thank you. Fotbvp (talk) 11:21, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fotbvp and welcome to Wikipedia. The article needs to be supported by reliable sources that support the subject's notability. Nevermind about retaining the article as my nomination was not upheld. I will do my best to help you improve the article and feel free to ask me for help anytime. Best wishes Flat Out let's discuss it 11:26, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I can add some book references that have been written about the village to support the information. I have I suppose been building up the new pages bit by bit, learning as I go along! So will look at refining them. I still have to fathom out how to add photos that fit and don't swamp a page! Best wishes Fotbvp (talk) 11:34, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes if you can support each statement with a reference it will help the article survive a future nomination for deletion. Flat Out let's discuss it 11:36, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Flat Out. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Blackadder (named data networking), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Software is not eligible for A7. Thank you. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 11:24, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
