Your Speedy Delete tag

Did you intend to db tag the User page User:Debstover rather than the prior page which we db-d Deb Stover? --Jersey92 (talk) 03:51, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I believed that the user page was also too self-promotional and qualified for speedy deletion as G11. --Drm310 (talk) 03:54, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar given to me by Synester.balck (talk) on 05:34, 22 August 2014 (UTC) has been moved to my user page. --Drm310 (talk) 19:08, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

I want to thank you for noticing that the username at UAA was an attack account aimed at me. I looked at what they'd posted and it appears that they're upset that I deleted Passion City and Draft:Passion City Church, two exceedingly promotional pages. I've had my userpage vandalized, but it's the first time I've actually had someone threaten physical violence against me. That they did it over a page for a church kind of makes me raise an eyebrow. I'm mildly tempted to e-mail the church and let them know what happened, as this reflects very, very poorly upon their church but then if it's answered by the same person who made the threats then the last thing I'd want to do is actually give them my personal information. Anywho, I'd like to thank you and User:Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi for catching all of this. I guess I've truly made it as an admin when I've had someone make death threats against me, LOL. You're welcome! It's inexcusable of anyone to threaten another person like that. Anyway, I hope you weren't too spooked by that unfortunate incident. I'll be vigilant for any more vindictive actions like that. We've got your back! --Drm310 (talk) 05:04, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

Jennie Allen page

I see your points and agree. Thank you. I've been making an effort to review pages about women and completely missed the autobiographical aspect.Kmccook (talk) 23:17, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DeAngelo Tyson Page

I was just notified my addition to the DeAngelo Tyson page was deleted because of copyrighted material?? All I did was put in information about his new foundation, which I am on the board and I also represent him personally. I wrote the content that was added myself as the marketing contact for the foundation and own any rights to what I added. This is a bunch of bull. You cannot copy and paste material word-for-word from your website, even if you are the copyright owner. Wikipedia has very strict rules against the use of copyrighted text and images. If you wish to donate the text in its original form, you can do so by following the steps outlined at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Please note that donated text may be extensively edited at any point by other Wikipedia editors.
Since you have close personal involvement with the subject of the article, it is considered a conflict of interest for you to be writing about him. Please consult Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide for a further explanation on why this type of editing is inadvisable.
Lastly, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when. --Drm310 (talk) 16:59, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for clearing that up! I will just modify my wording so it's not verbatim. I'm finding some people on here aren't as nice. One actually deleted my flagged user page while I was in the middle of correcting it. --Georgiagirl502 (talk) 17:58, 23 September 2014 (UTC)Georgiagirl502[reply]
You're welcome. I'm aware that we aren't so good at explaining what type of editing is allowed until there's a problem. Looks like you've cleared up the user page problem nicely, though. Sorry you had a rough start but hopefully your experience will improve over time. Good luck. --Drm310 (talk) 20:00, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

hi!!

Can you add a picture on Natalia Damini's wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Natalianorris (talkcontribs) 03:07, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I'm not exactly certain what you're asking. But, if you're asking if it's possible to put an image in the Natalia Damini article, the answer is yes.
First, you need to have an account on Wikimedia Commons. Once you're logged in, you go here. That page will tell you what kinds of pictures are accepted and how to upload them.
Once your picture has been uploaded, you can add the picture to the article. Wikipedia's picture tutorial has detailed instructions on how to add the image. However if you want to add it within the Infobox of the article, you have to add a line like this:
|image = MyImage.jpg
Hopefully this explains how. Any more questions, just ask.
