* Another Disagree. It's very useful to have one page for each MVNO. Perhaps an MVNO template would further help? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Notmyipad (talk • contribs) 13:31, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Merger proposal

 • I think that this should be included in the Carphone Warehouse article rather than as a separate article, I doubt that there is much more that could be written about it than is already included. Smartse (talk) 22:48, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
 • As I understand it, The Carphone Warehouse is primarily a retailer, also providing equipment repair and service. Talkmobile, although owned by The Carphone Warehouse, operates solely as a service provider. If these articles are merged it will create difficulties in terms of other aggregation Wiki-pages that compare service providers and in other structural and market sector ways. I suggest expanding this article to provide a better comparison with Vodafone, Orange and so on. Both pages currently acknowledge that Talkmobile is owned by The Carphone Warehouse (and vice-versa). What is needed to expand this page to provide similar level and quality of information to its competitor's Wiki pages. Enquire (talk) 01:18, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Therefore, customers of the two defunct operators were transferred to Talkmobile." Not true. they were encouraged, cajoled and even bribed to transfer, and no doubt many did. But there was no blanket transfer. Rich Farmbrough, 18:38, 6 July 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Unlimited Data

Was TalkMobile really first here? (Offhand I thought it was GiffGaff) Notmyipad (talk) 13:33, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, they're not. In fact other networks had been offering unlimited data in 2010. This is show by the BBC news article dated 10 June 2010 which shows that other networks were at that time withdrawing unlimited data offers, ie they had offered it before that point. Also as I can see from archive.org Three had reintroduced unlimited by 5 Feb 2011 in their One Plan.

Thanks for pointing this out. Even the source cited didn't say they were the first to do this so I have removed it from the article. SmartSE (talk) 20:48, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
