Hello. I am trying to improve and verify the references on Emery (rock). I noticed that you added a reference to the journal "Industrial Minerals" November 1978, on 12 September 2013 (link to difference between revisions page). It is missing the article's title, and the volume and issue of the journal. Also Harbin appears to be a typo, Peter Harben was editor at the time. It's also possible that he was not the author. Do you have the issue at hand to verify? --Dead3y3 (talk) 14:26, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

: Hello :) Wrote that some time ago in different country so cannot check, feel free to remove it, I've been learning to use more modern sources anyway so chances are it is outdated. Will try to be more detailed in future. J1812 (talk) 20:38, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Ipsdienol

Thanks for creating the article for ipsdienol (and thanks for your other recent chemistry contributions, too). I'd like to make small suggestion. Since the article content relates to a single enantiomer, can you please update File:S-Ipsdienol.svg to show specifically the (S)-enantiomer? Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181) 13:40, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, that is a good idea. I have modified the pictured. J1812 (talk) 19:22, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181) 20:12, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Coke (fuel), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Wilkinson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Book citation

Here's the page from my book on Lymantria dispar dispar] which you questioned. This is at the introduction to the book. The book itself is over 700 pages thick and is purely about the science of the gypsy moth. View it here [1] And sorry for the poor quality, the book oversized and 3 inches thick, but the bottom half of the first column is what I am referring to. Oh and the book was produced back in 1981 so this WAY predates the Wikipedia article. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 00:00, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot. You definitely have good sources, and of course on wikipedia sources triumph over anyone claiming expertise. Liebhold never responded, so please feel free to reverse his edit if you haven't done so already.J1812 (talk) 00:27, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I already did, and because of it I got two more sources. One from the book's source (1938) and one from 1910, an earlier publication of Burgress. Read the talk page post I did. It is quite intriguing and I do address the matter of the 'myth' with a bit of my own theory on why it was introduced as 'rearing/raising' instead of the heavy claim of interbreeding. Its a good read I say! ChrisGualtieri (talk) 01:04, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Store Vildmose

Hello J1812,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Store Vildmose for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Benboy00 (talk) 00:35, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Chemistry, Structure drawing workgroup

Hello homie, I've left a message in Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Chemistry/Structure_drawing_workgroup#Why_ACS_settings for you. Your thoughts are welcome in the discussion. Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georginho (talkcontribs) 10:15, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

See also

Hi J1812. The "See also" section in articles is for links to relevant articles that are not already linked to in the body of the article. It's a place to collect links that will ideally be linked to inline once the article is more complete. I reverted several edits today where you added items to "see also" sections, which were already linked to within the article. See WP:SEEALSO for more information on see also sections.--Srleffler (talk) 00:52, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice. J1812 (talk) 01:04, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ipuwer Papyrus

I've reverted you I'm afraid. WP:NOR means we should not be making such comparisons. The river of blood one is made in the article with academic commentary, which is how any comparisons should be presented. Dougweller (talk) 14:45, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I suppose that is fair. J1812 (talk) 16:09, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vachellia farnesiana var. farnesiana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gum. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
