Why does SineBot keep signing stuff I've already signed? All comments should have a signature that includes both a link to your user page (slakr) and a datestamp (05:12, 20 August 2007 (UTC)) (per signatures - internal links). This is most easily generated by placing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your contributions, which makes something like "slakr 05:12, 20 August 2007 (UTC)". If you're still having problems after trying that, post a message to slakr. I do sign using ~~~~, but the result includes my username as plain text, not as a link. You have probably changed the format of your signature. Go to "my preferences", then the "User profile" tab, and check the "Signature" field and the "Treat the above as wiki markup" checkbox. If "Treat the above as wiki markup" is checked, then the "Signature" field should contain wikicode, including something like [[User:Your Username|Your Username]]. If "Treat the above as wiki markup" is unchecked, then the "Signature" field should not contain wikicode. I don't want my comments signed by SineBot. How do I get it to ignore me or my talk page? Please use one of the opt-out methods listed on its user page. SineBot forgot to sign something it should have signed. Usually this happens because the bot isn't sure if it really should sign something, so it defaults to not signing it (e.g., in cases of complex edits). It does this to avoid being annoying. Other times, a comment might be made when the bot is down for maintenance, so the bot simply never sees it. SineBot signed something that it genuinely should not have signed. Please let slakr know-- especially if you think it's not a one-time thing.

Obviously he cannot sign you because ur post is already signed! Your signature doesnt include a link to ur user page or talk page that is different. BUT UR POST IS SIGNED SO SINEBOT CANT OBVIOUSLY SIGN YOU. YOUR SIGNATURE SAYS "the anonymous commentator" INSTEAD OF GIVING A LINK TO YOUR USER AND TALK PAGE. @Yes ji: SineBot will sign your already signed posts when you add a line or a comment in your signed post which has been saved once. Like in the above case you added a sentence after saving you post once so SineBot signed - "preceding unsigned comment added by....." If you wish this not to happen either sign your post again when you make an edit to a previously signed and saved post or delete that line from the source code that says "preceding unsigned.... autosigned by SineBot..." --VarunFEB2003 (talk • contribs) 15:18, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
