Godspeed is a supervillain in DC Comics, an antagonist of the Flash (Barry Allen) first appearing in the upcoming reboot DC Rebirth.

After a Speed Force storm hit Central City, granting dozens of people superhuman speed, Allen trained him to use his new powers before he turned on his mentor and became a killer.^[1]

Fictional character biography

August Heart, also known as Godspeed, is an evil speedster who appears in the DC Rebirth reboot. As a child, August was traumatized by his murder of his brother with the killer escaping capture. This led to him gaining an interest in law so no crime goes unpunished, becoming a detective in the Central City police and worked closely with Barry Allen before and after he became the Flash. On the day August encounters a group of criminals known as the Black Hole, recognizing their insignia to be that of his brother's killer, he was among those who gained superhuman speed during a Speed Force storm in Central City. August is trained by Barry to use his powers before becoming a killer.^[2]
