Communist accusation at top of wiki article is unproven

In the box at the top right corner of the wiki article on Lim Chin Siong it states that he was known for communist activities and that he belonged to the Malayan Communist Party. None of those claims are true.

The amazing thing is further down the wiki article details that the British scholars who wrote the book 'Comet in our Sky' proved that there was no evidence that Lim was a communist according to de-classified British documents.

The wiki article on the People's Action Party is also inaccurate in that it does not mention that Lim Chin Siong was a co-founder of the PAP with Lee Kuan Yew and that he was one of the first three Singaporeans to be elected as PAP members of Parliament.

Attempts to change the information on the PAP wiki site have quickly been taken off. There is a real bias of Wiki to make Lee Kuan Yew look good, even though it is well documented that he tortured and destroyed the lives of many good Singaporeans based on false claims of being Communists. It is very sad to see Wikipedia going along with such evil.

I think what anonymous said was quite right. If there is no cited source to prove that Lim Chin Siong belonged to MCP or perpetrated communist activities (what's the definition of communist activities anyway?) then it should not be in the article. I'm somewhat suspicious of the term "communist activities". What exactly did he do count as that? Is it any more than a political epithet, which in any case have no place in an article? Unless a clarification and citation is provided, I'll be taking that off the entry.

As for the claim that he was the first three Singaporeans to be elected from the PAP, you can find sources for that here:

The third candidate was Lee Kuan Yew.

There is a difference between 'proven' and 'alleged'.

Like many of the users said above, I wasn't satisfied with Lim's wiki article. His character and history is so complex - yet in the article he was written off as just an "influential politician". He was more than that. I've been making a series of edits and additions to the article and will continue to do so for the rest of Aug 2016. --Owentan (talk) 10:17, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Removing the irrelevant parts from Lim's bio

When I first started editing Lim's wiki article, I realised that there were sections below such as:

"Questions about Communism" "Description of Lim Chin Siong's politics from declassified British documents"

Which I felt doesn't quite add to the article. I've beefed up the parts concerning his life (from early years to later years), and will modify the section on "Legacy" instead to discuss the "communism" part.
