Mad Love is the third studio album by American recording artist JoJo. It is scheduled to be released on October 14, 2016, through Atlantic Records.[1] This is her first album in ten years and serves as her debut for the Atlantic label, after signing a new record deal in 2014.[2]

Background

It comes preceded by the "tringle" release “III.” 3 A-side singles; “When Love Hurts“, “Save My Soul” and “Say Love“, released on iTunes on August 21, 2015 as a preview of her third studio album.[3][4] On July 27, 2016. JoJo released a one-minute video to her YouTube channel titled "Mad Love. 10.14.16" previewing a new song "Music" and announcing the album title and release date.[5] On September 7, 2016, the album cover was revealed via JoJo's social media accounts and announced the album would be available for pre-order on September 16, 2016.[6] On September 9, 2016 - September 14, 2016, JoJo uploaded acapella snippet video's on her Instagram account revealing the track listing of the album.[7]

Singles

"Fuck Apologies" featuring rapper Wiz Khalifa was released as the lead single from the album on July 28, 2016.[8] The official music video for "Fuck Apologies" was released on July 28, 2016 through JoJo's YouTube channel directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Francesco Carrozzini.[9] The song debuted at number 40 on the US Pop Digital Songs Chart.[10] Internationally, "Fuck Apologies" peaked at 104 on UK Singles Chart and number 18 on UK R&B Singles Chart.[11][12]
